Really good story, the last in the series of "How To Be Dead" in this series plenty of action, vampires , a good immortal turns bad, this book has it all to be honest. We also get to find out more about Anne's past and how she ended up working for Death and being his friend. I really enjoyed this book, looking forward to reading other books by this Author when he publishes them. Didn't like this one as much as the previous 2 books in the series. Didn't seem to have as much humor and was less clear what the supernatural force was. Still, it was fun. Death’s dedication to all things human and his very real quirks make him a character readers will love. The bad guy, and I won’t spoil his identity, is brilliantly pragmatic. Events of previous books revealed him and his motivations are still somewhat mysterious Turner gives us an illusion of insight when we see the story from his perspective but his interactions are ominous but not definitive. It would be easy for the main plot line to be overshadowed by the day-to-day interaction of strong characters but Turner’s subtle treatment of the bad guy and his attempts to manipulate Dave and the whole of London shines through and makes for a fascinating, as well as entertaining, read.

I had to get this book to finish the series off. It was a great read and even mildly funny. The characters are relateable and even likeable. Dave and his friends are recovering from the events of the last book when they get dragged into the events of this book. It was well written and flowed perfectly. I like the characters and the overall plot was spectacular.

More fun. The coming of the Apocalypse.... maybe. A very British apoc at that, no guns but plenty of shovels to go round. Dave, Death and Anne are a fabulous trio and I loved the flashbacks. Bring on the Four Horsemen!
