Otakara Klettke shares in her book Hear Your Body Whisper, How to Unlock Your Self-Healing Mechanism how she has learned to communicate with her body. From a sick childhood and constant health limitations, the author spent first 20 years of her life often being bound to a hospital or home in bed. As a person who suffers from auto immune issues and prefers to abstain from pharmaceuticals, I found this book to be a powerful resource. I identify with Otakara Klettke, with her message, and the alternative answers she provides. It gives you alternatives to endless prescriptions without flying in the face of science or logic. This book is easy to understand and will help you tailor a simple program to fit YOUR body's needs, if you are willing to quiet your mind and listen. I got some good ideas out of reading this book, however as a skeptical person it was hard for me to give much credence to some of the statements and claims made by the author due purely to her own personal experience and not based on any kind of peer reviewed studies or research. I'm not someone that is unwilling to try something that someone else says worked for them, but some of the language of her ideas just pushed some buttons for me. I listened to this book on audible. It has many good ideas, many of which I already do. She has some good research and science based information. I liked this book fine and will listen to it again I'm sure. It is obvious that she has not had issues with obesity herself, neither have I, but it was a weird to listen to that portion of the book. She has quite a few mind over matter ideas, some of which could work if a person is dedicated. People are so used to modern ways of living that Otakara's i I listened to this book on audible. Let food be thy medicine.. She didn’t say it in those words but that the gist. She has some great ideas I plan to start with tomorrow and a very interesting and healthy body detox, none of that mystery crap you drink. I love the meditation and talking to your body and listening to what it needs. This is exactly the book I needed to read today as I struggle with my weight issues. I can’t wait to get started!

Wonderful Information-Perfect Timing This book is full of wonderful information. I plan to implement many of these ideas immediately! Early January is the perfect time to try the detox method suggested. I love the author's approach where she encourages making peace with your own body. Excellent Thanks! Really enjoyed reading this book. Was very informative, I hope to be able to get over a chronic illness. It reconfirms what I believed in......that we can heal ourselves! I just needed to hear this from what I believe to be a reliable source. Thanks Otakara for helping me start this wonderful journey.

Do not waste your money on this piece of crap! This book is someone's uneducated thoughts and opinions, nothing more. There is no useful scientific research based facts to back up her claims. Full of inconsistencies and gibberish. Even her writing is unclear with an inability to fully explain an analogy. Do not waste your money on this piece of crap! At last a way of healing that makes sense! This is the kind of book that one reads with an aha moment in every chapter. It resonates truth with enough down to earth science to prove its revolutionary premises, and gives a simple solution to the problem of health. It makes the reader want to buy a copy for their every loved one.

Great book I love the way this is written, easy, down to earth, researched and living experiences, for me it reinforces what we are capable of, its reprogramming ourselves after being bombarded with the opposite for many years, but I have had small acheivements, I'll be interested in any further books and such, thanks.☺ Great book I love the way this is written, easy, down to earth, researched and living experiences, for me it reinforces what we are capable of, its reprogramming ourselves after being bombarded with the opposite for many years, but I have had small acheivements, I'll be interested in any further books and such, thanks.☺

Fascinating I just read this book in one sitting. Now I'm going to read it again , slowly and take notes. I have half practised some of these things , but now I'm going to start doing better. This book has motivated me to see my body in a new way. Fascinating I just read this book in one sitting. Now I'm going to read it again , slowly and take notes. Well worth your time! This book has great suggestions that don't require you to buy a bunch of expensive supplements or pay for classes. Everything is based in common sense and a recognition that people are all different in the way they live. Well worth your time! perfect I know Otakara says you don't have to read this book if you're already in tune with your body, but i read it anyway and highly recommend to anyone, no matter what stage you're at or how connected you're feeling to your body :) perfect I know Otakara says you don't have to read this book if you're already in tune with your body, but i read it anyway and highly recommend to anyone, no matter what stage you're at or how connected you're feeling to your body :)

This is an excellent book... not your run-of-the-mill book that tells you all the obvious stuff you already know, and not one that dictates 'do this, do that'... what I liked about this book is that the author encourages you to think for yourself, to seek answers, to equip yourself with sound knowledge about the kind of choices you could be making, and she backs it up with lots of valid information as to why some choices are better than others. I like authors who recognise that everyone is different, but that by understanding more about what we put into our bodies and how we think, we can find our own blueprint to a better, healthier way of living. I can see why this book has, deservedly, reached bestseller status. Maria McMahon Dip. H.E. NLP/HYP, BSc (Psych)

Healthy body This is a thought provoking book about your body and mind and what it takes to get healthy and keep yourself healthy. I learned some new things and will implement: filtering my water, eating natural, organic food, meditation, dancing more, the 5 Tibetan exercises for long life, and loving my body for doing the best it can.

A big help in learning to love myself I found a lot of great insights here. To stop relying on one size fits all diets and temporary fixes. To listen to the signals the body is sending. To trust my intuition about what foods I know I should be eating, and to really put some thought into my health. A great read, with a lot to offer.
