I just finished the first book “The Dark Ones” and while I read this entire book, it was just an ehh its ok. I don’t know yet whether I am going to continue reading this series yet though. As I felt like I didn’t really connect with this book. Although the thing that kept me reading was Rose’s character. I absolutely loved her. But to be honest half reading the first like 18 chapters I ended up skimming through it as it just seem to drag on and on.

An interesting take on the world of supernaturals. An AU where they live and intermingle with us daily. Actual races with DNA and so forth that can breed with humans. Vampires that are born that way as opposed to made. There are those as well, though. The characters are realistic, in a way that draws you in and is a world I can completely believe might actually exist in a parallel time line. I adore some of the characters and the storylines are interwoven in such a way to keep you turning pages An interesting take on the world of supernaturals.
