'Action Comics #961' by Dan Jurgens with art by Stephen Segovia shows me it's been a while since I read Superman. A lot has happened to him but some things are still the same. The action picks up right from the first page. Doomsday is wrecking the city and a Lex Luthor wearing power armor is fighting him off. Superman draws him away from the city, but that puts his wife, Lois, and son, Jonathan, at risk. He gets some unexpected help from a friend as well as some people he doesn't know. Superman has learned some things since the first time he fought Doomsday and it's good to see that intelligence working here. At 21 pages, it's a really quick read with lots of action. I enjoyed the chance to read and review this comic. I received a review copy of this comic book from DC Entertainment and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this comic book.

Great Story Since the Rebirth, this new story arc has kept me riveted to the action. To be honest, I really hated the New 52 Reboot. The rebooted Superman seemed to be so immature in comparison to the one we Baby Boomers grew up with. This Superman is very mature and the fact that he is married to Lois and has a son is a great plus!

Finally some resolution to Doomsday, but if he isn't completely stopped by the next issue, I'll be a little fed up. I feel like this and Detective Comics trade off. One is always better than the other, which is a shame becuase they should both be great, but whatever. I wonder who that cloaked figure is tho.

I'm really hoping we start to get some plot progression in the next issue. As much as I've enjoyed this new Action Comics run, the answers are coming at a snail's pace. I still love the art and the fight scenes but we need some answers already.

3.4 stars Lex is left to clean up Metropolis because Superman & Wonder Woman left Metropolis to draw Doomsday away from there. As Lex is helping as many people as he can, there is a blur that is also saving people. It is revealed to be Superwoman though we do not know who she really is. Human Clark Kent is as useless as Lex thinks he is. Who in the world is the dude in the hood watching Metropolis? I would like to know where this hooded guys cameras are placed because he is able to see almost every 3.4 stars Lex is left to clean up Metropolis because Superman & Wonder Woman left Metropolis to draw Doomsday away from there. Superman is more determined than ever to take Doomsday out & he is also wondering who send those men as am I. The hooded guy is too damn mysterious & his reveal better be amazing.

The action is there fun and a very bit exciting. The artwork is really remarkable, a bit bias because it was drawn by a Filipino like me. But its true, Segovia is a virtuoso on his craft. Story is still the same; no progression and slow paced. Don't know how they will handle this arc, putting things in the right place and answering the questions left behind...

Review: 7.6/10 So far I have been alright with all the fighting. It has seemed appropriate and cool, and honestly purposeful. There was always heart involved and that has not changed in this issue either. But I'm over the fight. There is a mystery clearly a brewing in this story that I am ready to tackle. Which makes me think why didn't the fight end last issue. It just got stale real easily with this issue. Nothing interesting happened battlewise or character wise and I think that was what disappointed me the most with this issue. I still have faith for the rest of the story.

How many issues are we going to have Lois doing a bad job of moving away from the the monster? Superman fighting a battle to the death against his equal, while still having time for heart-to-hearts with his son? I think everything that took five issues (this far) to tell could have been condensed into much less. There is nothing unique here save for Lois and Wonder Woman getting to know one another.

There is a mystery surrounding this storyline and I think it works well. The story is very action orienated and flows nicely. Wonder Woman is a great partner for Superman and they share some action scenes here. There is so much here to like and it doesn't slow down for a second.

I guess I have to admire the consistency. This is still the most worthless series I've ever read. We still haven't learned anything. Most of the issue was still spent with pre-52 Clark internally monologuing while he fights Doomsday. And now even the art isn't any good. Never again.

This storyline is getting dull, to be honest.

The Doomsday arc is moving towards an end, but there is yet another mystery. Who is the man that has been watching this battle on the monitor? We might be about to find out.

Se me está alargando un poco el asunto Doomsday, pero definitivamente me gusta el asunto de la familia de este Clark y no saber que quiere quien mueve los hilos. Son muy monos estos Kent.
