Definitely way too short This was a fun introduction, but the story was so condensed that it just jumped from drama to drama without much down time where we could get to the nitty gritty of the reason for Ida May’s corporeal change. Don’t get me wrong, it is discussed, however it is only surface drama and if this novella had of been 150-200 pages, I think a lot more could have been expanded upon, and the emotional ramifications of this curse being broken could have been more impactful. But for what it is, I enjoyed the characters, and the wintery setting. The identity of the antagonist is a no brainer, and we have us some Baba Yaga, so that’s a plus. Will definitely be picking up the next book soon. 3 stars ⭐️

I Love Ida May She is such a hoot. I wish her life could have been easier, but at least she is having a memorable afterlife. This was a wonderful short story.

This books has it all. Comedy, love, old and new friendships, and even some tears. I love almost all paranormal books, but funny paranormal books are by far my favorite. And Ida May is one of my favorite characters. This isn't the first of Deanna's books I've read that has Ida May in it, but it's the first where she is the major character. She's even more fun when she's human than when she's dead. I truly didn't think that was possible after reading the Pyper Rayne books. This was so good I read This books has it all. I'm about to start on book three and can't wait! The Ida May Chronicles are definitely books that needed to be written! If you love funny, paranormal, books, I highly recommend this one!

Excellent This was a well written quick read that told a full well developed story in a short read! For the first time an author of this Kindle World made me cry with her ending! There are tons of laughs as always but lots of emotional moments also! Love that the story continues.

Awesome! I have about Ida May in Jade and Pyper’s stories and she is funny in those books! Now I have read about Ida May on a different level and it was excellent! You have a bit of a mystery with a twist, lots of action, romance and humor! Learn about the beginnings of Ida May but have Kleenex handy because for me it was a bit of a tear jerker! I highly recommend this book!

Ida May shows up in Asscrack, W.V. arriving as a human from New Orleans to help Diesel Jacobs as he is a new wolf in town but he can no longer shift. With Ida May being human all kinds of havoc reigns. It was great to see a lot of the characters again and I got a few good laughs as mayhem seemed to be the norm once again.

Laugh out loud story. Love Ida May, she is such a hoot. I have read other Deanna Chase's books and I have loved all of them. What a sweet short story about love through time.  This book is a part of the Magic and Mayhem series world by Robyn Peterman. You get the treat of seeing your favourite witches of destruction and healing, including a cursed werewolf and a ghost.

I prefer Ida May as a foil to Pyper Rain. I am glad I picked up these mini stories first because the regular residents in Virginia all annoy me. That said, I will probably read the other two because I bought them together, and I still like Ida May, just better in another context.

I would have scored this higher but for the ending. The book seemed to be set up one way and ended up going off the path. The writing was their and the story was good but I hated the ending.

Lost love Killed for loving someone, that's what happened to our heroine. Our hero is cursed and our ghost is back to save him. True love gives of itself and that is what our ghost displays. It was cute...a little too cutesy for me at times. Ida May takes a little getting used to in my opinion. However, I did appreciate her situation. Life was unfair, but she made the most of it and ended up paying for it with her life. I have to say that I did like her spunk in trying to help Diesel. Everyone around her was special, and she was a ghost made human temporarily. Although they couldn't really kill her again, it sure did hurt when they tried. How unfair was that? But, she was a sport and it shows just what she would do for anyone she cared about. Gotta say that by the end, I did come to like her and was sorry to see her go.

This was a great introduction into Ida May’s world. This book was laugh out loud funny. I love Ida May in the Pyper series and I love her even more on her own. The book picks up for Ida right when she disappeared from New Orleans in the last Pyper book. She gets snatched to Assjacket, West Virginia, where her old flame Diesel and his eccentric friends have gathered to remove a curse off him. They all have distinct personalities; however, as a group it all comes together and make for a very enjoyable read. As expected Ida May didn’t fail to tickle my funny bone with her witty attitude and ways. I like that we get a glimpse into Ida May’s past and a better understanding of what her life was like in the old New Orleans. I can’t wait to read the next story.

This story was a hoot! I laughed through most of it, and was kind of caught off guard by how exciting and touching it was too. I wasn't expecting it, and I loved that about this story. Even with it being a fast read, it was quite the emotional roller coaster. I love Ida May in her normal literary world, and she shined in this one too. I wasn't familiar with these characters, other than Ida May, but I really enjoyed each and every one of them. If you are looking for a fantastic quick read, defini This story was a hoot! YAY!!! Ida Mae has her own story. Set in Robyn Peterman's Magic and Mayhem world, Ida Mae finds herself brought to West Virginia to help remove a curse on wolf shifter, Diesel. This story has a bit of everything: humor, romance, suspense, and a little mystery thrown in for good measure. I wasn't expecting the rollercoaster of emotions that I experienced with this book but it sure is worth the ride. Ida May FINALLY has her own story! Ida May is back and sassier than ever in her short story. This was such a quick great read. It was great getting to see a different side to the ghost we've come to love in the Pyper Rayne novels. It was really interesting learning more about her and her back story. Excellent merger I really enjoyed the merger of the Magic and Mayhem characters with one from Deanna Chase's world. Great idea to give Ida May a past love; it kind of makes her more relatable. What happens in Virginia stays in Virginia! Ida May was just enjoying life as she knew it when she suddenly finds herself transporting to Virginia. She also finds that she is no longer dead, for a least the time being. Now to complicate matters she meets a drop dead gorgeous man!
