Scotsman's Siren by Merry Farmer was a lovely contemporary romance. Angus would love to be a legitimate member of the Culpepper clan and jumps at the chance to wed a future Culpepper sister-in-law, Honor. They exchange emails and decide to marry each other sight unseen. Honor really wants to escape her overbearing parents and marrying Angus seems to be the perfect way. Angus works with horses, another plus in his favor, and lives on the Culpeppers' ranch. This is novella length, so the romance and Scotsman's Siren by Merry Farmer was a lovely contemporary romance. Angus works with horses, another plus in his favor, and lives on the Culpeppers' ranch. This is novella length, so the romance and attraction are always quicker, less build up than in longer length stories. But even though the novel is short, the reader can believe the attraction between Honor and Angus. They do have their problems though, both Honor and Angus are slightly damaged from their less than happy childhoods and they bring these issues into their marriage - Honor much more so than Angus. Also, I haven't read any other books in the series but I wasn't lost, this book is strong enough to stand on its own. I'm really becoming a fan of Merry Farmer and continue to enjoy her books. This is another great one.

Honor Quinlan had demanding parents and when given a chance, moved to the Culpepper ranch in Wyoming to escape. She intends to marry Scotsman Angus MacFarlane, whom she corresponded with by email. Angus falls in love immediately, but Honor has to deal with the impossible standards of the way she was raised. Cousin Travis is demanding an inflated price for his share of the Culpepper ranch. The family must come up with some way to save the ranch. Once you get to book 6 in this serious it starts getting old. Basic story line is young women who were raised in strict households move to a different state to get away from their parents rules and beliefs. They immediately find a man to marry and as the days go on they fall in love. This story was a little different as Honor is the strongest willed woman of the family and believes Angus is out to control her like her dad. She fights back at every turn until she realizes what she is doing.

Love those Scots! See page #140 line 5 where it days being raised by Culpepper parents. Honor dead mother raised by Culpeppers, she was raided by Quillen parents. I read this as I have decided to read the series. I enjoyed Angus, and I can totally see Linda, but Honor's character was a little unfinished. The outbursts where less than fully believable. This book does make me anxious to read the next in the series. Love those Scots! See page #140 line 5 where it days being raised by Culpepper parents. I enjoyed this continuation of the Quinlan and Culpepper Cowboy series. Honor Quinlan runs from home to join the Quinlan quads in Wyoming and sets to marrying Angus MacFarlane the chief ranch hand. This is a sweet romance about learning to overcome the past, heal and learn how to love and be loved in return.

Scotsman Enjoyed the book. Going to stop reading this series. The girls are married. Fav quote: “Everything you’ve heard about Scotsmen is true.” She giggled, grateful that his brash comment loosened her up a little. “Is that what’s under a Scotsman’s kilt?” “Aye, lass. Kilts are handy for storing our most deadly weapon of all.”

Honor and Angus started their relationship through email. Honor was always fighting being controlled by her father, their parents were beyond good for those girls. Angus was a good guy who let Honor be herself. Loved that they fixed the cousin Travis buy out in this one.

A twist of a story. Honor has a lot of hangup from her past that threaten to comprise her marrying the handsome Scotsman who has caught her eye. A story of trials tense times but family pulling together to support each other.

HAPPY ENDING This last of the sisters is finally married. Unfortunately she also is struggling with her own demons from her childhood relationship with her parents. Bound and determined to be her own person and independent, she almost ruins her new marriage.

Now is the turn of Honor to get married. Every one of the Quinlan girls has an issue, in Honor's case is that she doesn't like to be told what to do and how to be. The tomboy of the family, her parents were especially hard on her, so now no one can even suggest something to her, because she thinks they are trying to control her. Angus's childhood was hard, he didn't know what a family really was until he arrived at the Culpepper ranch. But he wants more, he wants a wife, and after watching the Culpepper boys getting married to the Quinlan girls, he wants the same, and after getting to know Honor by email, he decides she is the one for him. Angus is very patient with Honor, but she is so determined to be her own person and not to let anyone control her, that she lashes out to Angus until they got to a point where they need to step back and consider their situation. Honor realizes that she is projecting her father's worst traits on Angus and finally understand that not everyone is out to get her. And she apologizes to Angus and promises to try harder not to second guess everything. I like how they recognize that after growing up with their very controlling, very religious parents, they need therapy, each one of them has a different issue to get over with, but all of them are messed up because of their upbringing.

I think the hero should be name Angus MacHottie! His patience and understanding with his new wife is amazing and touching. It helps that he comes from a past riddled with his own experiences. Those experiences have turned Angus into a sexy Scotsman who wears a kilt the proper way! Honor Quinlan is our heroine and she's the last of the six girls. She has issues with her father and the way in which she was raised. Honor bucks tradition at every turn to be different. She loves horses and feels most comfortable gathering her strength from them. Nobody, particularly a man, will control what Honor thinks or says. I like that Honor felt safe with the bedroom scenes and Angus as his new role as her husband. As book six, this is also where we find out what happens with cousin Travis and his portion of the ranch's inheritance. Will he sell it to the higher bidder? Will the Culpepper's come up with enough money to buy him out? Read this fantastic story and fall in love!

Amazing This is Honor and Angus' story, they have been emailing one another and Honor is sure she wants to marry him when she arrives in Culpepper which makes Angus very happy. Like all the Quinlan sisters Honor has some tough issues to work through which is making married life very difficult to say the least add in an overbearing farther and it gets worse. While reading this my emotions were all over I laughed cried and oh so wanted to hit someone..... Honor finds horses and a man " And what a kiss! It was like summer fireworks and autumn storms. It was like the sparkle of Christmas lights and the first buds of spring." The last of the Quinlan sisters escapes her parents' grasp but only with the help of a Scottish horseman. This has been a well done collaboration by two authors I enjoy reading.
