Absentmindedly stepping into the street, she barely avoids getting struck by an oncoming vehicle. Not only is the cute teenager lucky to be alive, but her brush with death turns out to be a date with destiny. The driver of the car just happens to be Sakuya, the charismatic and fabulously handsome lead singer for a band called Lucifer. In short order, Sakuya and his crew compose a song using AineÅfs lyrics. The tune proves popular with the bandÅfs fans and Sakuya decides he wants a relationship, both professional and personal, with Aine. ThereÅfs only one small requirement: The lyrics Aine writes must be erotically charged. And guess what? This is by far my favourite novel in this series, the drama was boiling! I have never been able to sit through a reading but I did it! it was so intense the introduction of Yuki and his story is so sad and upsetting but so so so disgusting, Overall super happy with this novel it was hella intense and interesting and I somehow was able to fly through it.

I knew Ayako was going to cause problems, but oh my god, I really hated her. She is a prime example of taking things too far. I understand that she has some type of feelings for Sakuya. However, she needs to take the hint that he's not into her and leave with some dignity. I couldn't believe that she (view spoiler)[staged her suicide. What kind of messed up person plans something like that?? (hide spoiler)] . That whole situation just made me hate her even more. How despicable of a person she is! As for Tomoyuki...wow, where do I start? Tomoyuki is the lead singer of Lucifer's rival band. I was a bit thrown off by the band being named Jesus, but whatever works for them. When I heard his back story, I'll admit, I felt pretty bad for him. I knew he was obviously going to cause some troubles for Aine and Sakuya, but I thought he seemed like a nice guy with a tragic past. Boy was I wrong! It was like somebody flipped a switch and he turned into a psychopath. I was pretty grossed out when (view spoiler)[he came on to Aine. It wasn't too weird until Tomoyuki turned all incestual on us. We find out that he likes Aine because she looks like his dead sister. That wouldn't be too bad except that the 'like' goes way past friendly and it turns out that he's IN love with his dead sister (hide spoiler)] . I was like, "Really? Is this really happening?!'. I'm all for some plot twists, but this whole thing was really out of left field. I'll give props though because I wasn't expecting what happened.

I've owned these books for a while but recently re-read them. I have to say, this is one series that completely took me by surprise. I'd seen it on the shelves but dismissed them unfairly. The following review is for the entire series. I love the artwork and story in this series. I especially love how the actual pairing off happened so quickly in relation to other series, which I like. (It's one of the reasons I loved Kare Kano as much as I did.) There's the typical "I luff them but someone is fi I've owned these books for a while but recently re-read them. (It's one of the reasons I loved Kare Kano as much as I did.) There's the typical "I luff them but someone is fighting me for them" stuff, but it's relatively well done considering that it's such a tried and true trope. You can actually see why people might fight over our two main characters. As the title suggests, there is some sexual content in here and if you don't want to see manga boobs you'd best prepare yourself to see them. The content gets more graphic in the last volume, but generally sticks to hints, glimpses, and talk up until volume 17. This is a pretty entertaining series and it's what made me really love Shinjo as a mangaka. (Although I wish her publishers gave her all the respect she deserves!)

My Thoughts: Ayako Sakura continues to behave badly in this volume. Sakuya and Aine put that bitch in her place, though. It takes some doing, but she finally backs off. Once she's gone, though, another obstacle pops up! A band that's beginning to do as well as Lucifer has one screwed up frontman. And this guy develops a liking for Aine. You'll have to read the volume to find out what his damage is, but this dude could be trouble. Sakuya even ends up in a fistfight with him! Book four has the showdown between Jesus and Lucifer, and the lead singer from each band wants Aine! It makes for a fun show, and Jesus' head crooner has a few problems with his life and attitude in general. Still, to me, Aine isn't worth all the hulabaloo. But it's fun to watch what's coming next and I'm still interested in following this story for another round. And I like the way author/manga-ka Mayu Shinjo draws her pretty boys. On a complete sidenote, what is up with the Miyazaki bookdescription here? Odd Anyway- A trend has now been established, let's break-up Aine and Sakuya. Managers, rivals, fans, half-brothers... it's as if everyone is infatuated with these people, just not together. It's a different level of crazy than I'm used to reading, let alone dealing with.
