A concise overview of the law of attraction. The author does a fairly good job of explaining the law of attraction, including addressing several controversial aspects of this belief system. I would give it 5 stars if the numerous mistakes in spelling and grammar were corrected. Although I don't agree with all of the author's beliefs, he does a good job of explaining them. This is basically the same idea as "The Secret". It is very easy to dismiss as complete mumbo-jumbo. Certainly, I am pretty sure that just thinking about being a billionaire is not going to make you a billionaire. HOWEVER, I think it can be interpreted in a certain way where it actually makes sense even to a skeptical scientist: (1) "Positive Psychology": There is some solid academic research by Martin Seligman and others that consciously adopting optimistic thinking can be more conducive to menta This is basically the same idea as "The Secret". It is very easy to dismiss as complete mumbo-jumbo. Certainly, I am pretty sure that just thinking about being a billionaire is not going to make you a billionaire. HOWEVER, I think it can be interpreted in a certain way where it actually makes sense even to a skeptical scientist: (1) "Positive Psychology": There is some solid academic research by Martin Seligman and others that consciously adopting optimistic thinking can be more conducive to mental health and achievement than pessimism. (2) I have seen the advice given to athletes "VISUALIZE yourself scoring the winning goal in the championship game and that will make it make it more likely that you will actually do it in real game". (3) Buddhism teaches "The Principle of Detachment." In simple terms: don't react too strongly to your emotions. You may find yourself feeling angry or sad or whatever, but recognize that this is just a passing impulse and soon you may feel entirely different, even if the situation hasn't changed. The "Law of Attraction" takes these ideas and puts them on steroids. At first glance it seems magical: "Just think about anything you want (money, a happy relationship, a promotion, etc.) and it will magically "manifest" itself in your life". To be very clear, I am sure this is not right. But if you interpret it something like: "If you are optimistic, visualize yourself achieving your goals, and maintain a positive attitude even in the face of setbacks, then you are more likely to get what you want". This actually sounds pretty reasonable, and to the extent that it "works" I will bet it's for people who interpret it this way.

Really Great Overview I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I think it's a great overview of what those who seek out the law of attraction eventually grasp, but in a condensed more digestible format. I definitely think splitting up these truths into their own chapter, focusing primarily on each, but then tying them back into each other is effective in not only grasping them, but remembering them. Overall, great book and an easy afternoon read. Really Great Overview I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. This book contains a list of statements not arguments. A few points raised may lead to more positive thinking. Overall however, it was unconvincing. In the face of more rigorous debate I think some of the contentions would just fall apart. It's free and very short so quickly dealt with. This book contains a list of statements not arguments. Good summary I liked this sort book about the law of attraction. It can either be a good review of you are already familair with books like The Secret or a great introduction if you know little or nothing about the laws of attraction. I read it all in a couple of hours.

This over pretentious "book" if you can call it that. Written like he is talking to you in a repetitive monologue in a monotonous tone. Worse then the college professor you hated as his education is non existent. This over pretentious "book" if you can call it that. An up-lifting one Simple rules seem to be obvious at first but carry deep meanings as we think about those and actually practice.

Familiar truths simplified The author has a way of taking something already widely discussed and strips all the fluff down to something anyone can understand.
