I love the story of Lexie and Reese. I didn't like Julius, as was to controlling over his nephew's wife and shouldn't have. He was to clingy!! I was glad to hear that Reese survived the explosion, but that should have sidelined him from the war. He probably had a confusion. All the characters in this storyline are amazing and you can't help but to falling in love with them. OK, no more spoilers, as I have written more about this story than I normally do. I highly recommend this series. Another f I love the story of Lexie and Reese. I didn't like Julius, as was to controlling over his nephew's wife and shouldn't have. He was to clingy!! Great This second book in the series was much better because you can see the author growth. I love that the author took time to research and add historical facts during that time. I am excited to see how this trilogy ends

Needs a good proofreader. Story was okay but grammatical errors abound. The last book was really filled with them and I am not talking about the dialect even though I don't think that was done well either. Needs a good proofreader. Interesting story Good story line but very repetitive. Did skip paragraphs as the same things were said again and again . When did religion become such a great part of story? Don't know if I will read the next one. Interesting story Good story line but very repetitive. Did skip paragraphs as the same things were said again and again . I am now reading the 3rd book in the series. Very well written all of them. I have enjoyed the story very much.

LR I enjoy the biblical inspiration. It’s nice to read an historical romance without the lusty sex scenes. Can’t wait to read book three!

Exceptional! I enjoyed this book more than the first. I will be starting the 3rd book the morning. I'm anxious to see where it takes our characters. Exceptional! I enjoyed this book more than the first. I will be starting the 3rd book the morning. I'm anxious to see where it takes our characters.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, and I certainly wasn't disappointed in this one. The author pulls you into the time of the Civil War and the lives of Reese and Lexie from the first pages and I was kept reading as I followed their lives during this difficult time. This author certainly knows how to make the lives of her characters come alive. I loved this sequel, and I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series. Waiting Thank you for this second installment of Reese and Lexi's life. It seems that we are always moving and not appreciating the time we are in. We have to remember just as Reese and Lexi's love is continuing, it is in God's time. I love to see their journey evolve thru different times and situations. This book is deserving of my Awsome Dawson rating of 5 stars. Waiting to see the next book with great anticipation!!!!! Waiting Thank you for this second installment of Reese and Lexi's life.
