There are many people in our society that faces the issues that Jackie dealt with in this book; loss of a spouse and a child. I’m happy that her mom never gave up on her, and kept calling on Jesus. Beautiful This story is real. We never realize the thoughts and struggles of an addict until you see it in black and white. It took me a minute to read this novel because of the busyness of my life but glad I dedicated tonight to finishing it. I felt like I was actually on the scene in this novel, very descriptive...kudos to the author

However, when I return to Christian Urban Fiction I feel like I'm going home and going to church!! The character development and story lines are always amazing to me and when well written they feel so familiar and like it really is a God thing. I don't condone domestic violence but when Jackie threw that hot water on her husband I thought she needed to be knocked the hell out and just when I was starting to feel sorry for him I was thought she should of threw some more hot water on him. I'm glad that Jackie made it through because the way this story was going I was sure all the characters were going to end up dead from Leslie swearin Unpredictable! ...spoiler alert... This book had me struggling but it was a good book. Talk about faith! A must read!!!! Reading this story has me loss for words because the message that came from this story will have you in tears. Awwww I loved this book! The ending had tears in my eyes. It's a really great read. The details and descriptions of Jackie and Richie were so real.
