A fun story Grand Escape Grand Escape is a great short story which is a prequel of the author's book Strain of Resistance. I enjoyed this story very much. It tells the story of two brave kids who are determined to find other survivors in a post apocalyptic setting. There is plenty of action and the characters are drawn well for such a short story. They come across as real and I am pulling for them to survive. This was a fun story that has me looking forward to more. It is highly recommended. I’m not exactly sure how much I can say about 19 pages. I don’t want to spoil anything, so I’m just going to say read it. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I can't wait to read more. A great prequel to what comes next. It's strong and well written short introduction that leaves me asking questions that I will only find the answers by reading Strain of Resistance. What happens to Sammy and Amy? What happens on their way to the Grand? Will they make it? I have more questions so I will be reading the book. The characterisation of the siblings Michelle Bryan has given the ensures that the story can only go from strength to strength A great prequel to what comes next. A very brief teaser to the Strain of Resistance novel. It does give another perspective to the day the world ended, invaded by alien leeches, from the POV of a 14-year-old boy, Sam and his little sister Amy. Having already read Strain of Resistance, I was intrigued to read this preamble, which I finished in only 20 minutes. Granted, a lot happened between Sam and Bixby, the MC of Strain, that we don't yet know about, and I hope we get to learn that in future books! A very brief teaser to the Strain of Resistance novel. Grand Escape: Strain of Resistance Prequel A good prequel, just enough of a story to get you hooked and wanting to read more. Wanting to see what happens to these children.

Very short quick novella with good writing. A small taste of the series that makes you want more.

Good Very good but very short. Like 10 minutes. It was nice getting to know Sam a little, since we only hear of him in the book. I can't wait to know more about his character.
