After the alien invasion, there’s no one to turn to. No one to help. Or so they thought. When Sam hears a voice on the other end of their shortwave radio offering salvation, it ignites a tiny spark of hope. This may be a story ab Trapped. Hunted. And all alone. A fun story Grand Escape Grand Escape is a great short story which is a prequel of the author's book Strain of Resistance. I enjoyed this story very much. It tells the story of two brave kids who are determined to find other survivors in a post apocalyptic setting. There is plenty of action and the characters are drawn well for such a short story. They come across as real and I am pulling for them to survive. This was a fun story that has me looking forward to more. It is highly recommended. I’m not exactly sure how much I can say about 19 pages. I don’t want to spoil anything, so I’m just going to say read it. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I can't wait to read more. A great prequel to what comes next. It's strong and well written short introduction that leaves me asking questions that I will only find the answers by reading Strain of Resistance. What happens to Sammy and Amy? What happens on their way to the Grand? Will they make it? I have more questions so I will be reading the book. The characterisation of the siblings Michelle Bryan has given the ensures that the story can only go from strength to strength A great prequel to what comes next. A very brief teaser to the Strain of Resistance novel. It does give another perspective to the day the world ended, invaded by alien leeches, from the POV of a 14-year-old boy, Sam and his little sister Amy. Having already read Strain of Resistance, I was intrigued to read this preamble, which I finished in only 20 minutes. Granted, a lot happened between Sam and Bixby, the MC of Strain, that we don't yet know about, and I hope we get to learn that in future books! A very brief teaser to the Strain of Resistance novel. Grand Escape: Strain of Resistance Prequel A good prequel, just enough of a story to get you hooked and wanting to read more. Wanting to see what happens to these children.

Good Very good but very short. Like 10 minutes. It was nice getting to know Sam a little, since we only hear of him in the book. I can't wait to know more about his character.
