Nice little courtroom story This is a quick look into the courtroom through a lawyer who's client is not well liked and not innocent. A nice short story where a lawyer gets one over on his client and justice is obtained. Short, fast, fun I usually enjoy Grisham's stories and this book met my expectations. The tone was staccato; it seemed to me more like a line drawing rather than a full color painting. I liked Brad Williams enough to follow him in future stories. I do recommend this book as a quick read. Short, fast, fun I usually enjoy Grisham's stories and this book met my expectations. Nice short, courtroom drama. Confused (again) to the author's name. Books are also listed under the name Joshua Grayson. Had another issue with an author listed as Patrick Grisham with the same books listed under the name Patrick Graham. Does not change the fact that I liked the story. :) Nice short, courtroom drama. Confusing yet readable I'm conflicted by this short story. At the beginning I was really enjoying it. However, near the end the story got a bit confusing. Wasn't really sure what was going on. I liked the characters and the storyline, but it seems like the writer rushed the ending, seems like a bit of the story was left out or was trying too hard to make it a surprise ending making the readers want more. Like I said readable but confusing. Confusing yet readable I'm conflicted by this short story. At the beginning I was really enjoying it. However, near the end the story got a bit confusing. it was an interesting story which kept me reading. However it was highly implausible. Is the American penal system as crooked as the story suggests? If so, I would not like to be living in a society with such lack of interest or control of those who administer Justice.

Great story, "but" I thoroughly enjoyed this book. For a short story it had everything you could ask for. I would have given it five stars if it hadn't had so many typos. They were numerous and very distracting but not enough so as to keep me from reading more of this authors books. Great story, "but" I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Very intriguing from the very start. Short chapters that keep you reading until the very end. Highly recommended if you like short, mysterious reads. Characters are aptly described in order to hold the story together, yet not too detail oriented as to distract you from the plot. Look forward to reading the rest of the trilogy.

I feel empty I'm a Grisham fan...and now I know why. He always fills out his characters and the scenes of action in his direct style and talent..when done with a Grisham novel my mind can't remember if I saw it or read it..The word pictures are so real. This just doesn't do it. It's more like an idea out of context..Left me feeling kinda flat I feel empty I'm a Grisham fan...and now I know why. Fair story The story was not an attention grabber for me and the attorney was didn't seem like he was serious and kept repeating how he wanted to hit his client seemed to unprofessional. Not up to snuff This looks like something from a college creative writing class. There are multiple errors in grammar and poor editing. The plot is weak and the characters are poorly drawn. I would suggest this author go back to Cass and also gets good editor

Justice Hard to believe this is considered a book, it is so short. The twist is clever, but disappointingly brief. There wasn't enough to really connect with the characters. Don't believe would recommend the book. Justice Hard to believe this is considered a book, it is so short. The twist is clever, but disappointingly brief.
