This book was very well received by a group of kids at a recent gathering. My SO read the book to the kids and they were fascinated by the pictures. Lots of drawings of whales and dolphins were made after reading. This is a short book and it held the interest of the kids. It's in the format of two pictures per subject with the first picture having some accompanying text while the second one has none. Most of the kids wanted to know more about the animals but were happily distracted by making whale song and imitating swimming through the ocean. The text was easy to explain to the kids and they were interested in hearing the book again. This was a fun one and was probably in the top 3 books the kids liked that were read at the time. I received this at a free or discounted rate in exchange for my honest review.

This book was ok in general but I would have preferred the focus to be animals in the wild, not those that perform in captivity. There are a lot of cetacean species that could have been focussed on that live in the wild so we should be teaching our children more about those.
