Book #2 of our Modern TG Classics series where we take a popular plot from TG Fiction and put our own twist on it. This story revolves around the “lost luggage” idea. At first, Chris considers himself lucky to get a free trip to Italy since his sister, Chelsea, is unable to go with her friends and gives him her ticket as a gift. Sure, spending the trip with her friends Leah and Meg may be annoying but surely he can do his own thing for part of the trip. Once they get to the airport in London, Chris soon finds out that the contents of his suitcase had been replaced with his sister’s clothes and he is now being forced to act and look like Chelsea for the entire trip since having a boy along would be awkward! ‘Chelsea’ must now enjoy her trip with wearing ‘her’ sister’s panties, going out in little black dress to dinner, trying on outfits in the shopping district with ‘her’ friends, wearing a bikini to the beach, and twerking in the club. If that isn’t enough, how is ‘she’ going to deal with getting hit on by men… and women?! Warning: Some sex scenes with consenting adults. Profanity. 18+ only! Themes: Bisexual, Gay/Lesbian, Long Finger Nails, Swimsuit, Very High Heels, Bizarre Body Modifications, Crossdressing/TV, Physically Forced or Blackmailed, Real Life Situation, and Sweet/Sentimental.

I really did enjoy this reworking of the wrong suitcase story, though in a way it is more tricked to be a girl. The actual part where Chris is made to become Chelsea for the holiday worked well and I liked how, the longer things went on, he sort of sank into being her. It was the end that upset me as I felt it was a betrayal of our investment in the new Chelsea In a way the readers were tricked as well as Chris. Before I get into talking about the story, I have to give a huge shout out to Fraylim for the illustrations here. Normally, I pay no attention to interior illustrations when reading on my Kobo, but here they are so perfectly placed, and so perfectly suited to the story, that they really do add a little special something. Bravo! Bravo! Now, as for the story, When In Rome: Wearing Sister's Clothes! is the second in the Modern TG Fiction Classics series by Courtney Captisa and Claire Bear (following A Girlfriend for Christmas). Here we have a story of three young women planning to go on vacation, with a young man forced to take his sister's place - in more ways than one. While it is is clear early on than the ladies have ulterior motives for Chris, the true depth and breadth of their plans are not fully revealed until the very end. While the final scenes are a bit over the top, and do strain the bounds of credibility, it is a fun read getting there. Courtney and Claire have a flair for characterization, and they make everyone come alive here. They also have a real talent for feminization, so those who want to indulge and enjoy Chris' predicament vicariously will certainly find a lot to enjoy. There is just the right amount of fight and spite in his character, and the ways in which he succumbs to the pleasures of being Chelsea are handled very well. I, of course, will not spoil any of those sexy secrets, but Chris is going to come home a changed boy, and . . . well, let us just say his are not the only changes to be revealed.
