This book, which was written to raise awareness about human trafficking, is a surprisingly well written novel. The story gives a very realistic picture of the horrors of children being exploited all over the world. It is a gripping tale that I could not put down.

If you want to better understand the issue of human trafficking but struggle to read news reports, articles and more, I would encourage you to read this book. The author does an amazing job of providing practical details, information about organizations currently fighting (including A21, which is very active in Europe), and more. The book is also a good read and keeps you turning page after page as you want to know what happens to the girls. I will say this book is not for the faint-hearted as I found myself wanting to attack certain characters, crying over the pain of the girls, and feeling fear as you see what is about to happen. A definite must read for anyone passionate about biblical justice and the evil of human trafficking/slavery.

This book is a rollercoaster of emotions. The author shows a very sensitive horrific issue of sexual trafficking without being too graphic. The plot kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters and their feelings are so detailed that I feel close to them. The ending leaves you hanging and wanting more! I can't wait to read Volume 2! Fantastic job! . This book is moving in every way. As a novel it kept me riveted in each chapter. As a call to action it has made me question what I can do to help. Looking forward to seeing the movie and reading the next book.

I'm a former social worker whose clients were "youth at risk", including some that were suspected of being trafficking victims. I did a great deal of research and training to work with this group of clients. The author did a tremendous job in bringing so much detail about how so many of these victims are thrust into this dark place. There are parts of this story that will make angry and others that will break your heart, sometimes both occurring simultaneously. While it is a work of fiction, it IS reality.
