I haven't read a graphic novel since my teenage days, so I was really looking forward to this graphic novel about Barbie. Another reason to be looking forward to this was Barbie, of course. I had tons of Barbie dolls in my childhood. I really liked the drawing style of this graphic novel. It is very girly and it just looks like Barbie. I found it really fitting for a Barbie story. The story was fun and entertaining as well. I am looking forward to continue this series. It was alright. As an adult I found the story to be okay and full of positivity. The illustrations were good and colorful. I really liked Barbie's dress that she ended up making. The final dress in the end was not my style though. Perhaps the age group this book was intended for will be more appealing to them than it was to me. This book is exactly what it should be. It takes Barbie on a pleasant little adventure through the world of fashion and a high-stress fashion show. (It does present an unrealistic picture as to how easily one can "make it" in this industry.) It presents a nice moral and maintained my daughter's rapt attention. This was really cute, well drawn, and showed Barbie combining her love for science and fashion which was cool.

This was cute, pretty much what you'd expect from a Barbie fashion story. I like seeing these stories aimed at slightly older readers, so they get to extend the story a bit.
