“Oh my god. Oh. My. God.” It was all I could say, all I could think. I was suddenly religious after his cock showed me the light.” Nevertheless, it is not nice when a bloke reads his stepsister’s diary without her permission! Part of “The Hard and Dirty Holidays”, which I devoured in one sitting. You can find them all in book “Christmas Candy”. All the stories are short, smutty, sweet and dirty.

Short Christmas story that I wish was longer. I wanted to know more about the past and more about their future.

I truly enjoyed this book! Two of my favorite things: the taboo step brother romance and Christmas! This short story tells the tale of Niles and Anna who come together after years apart to celebrate the holidays with their parents. Anna physically feels ill whenever she sees Niles but she notices there's life and light behind his eyes that wasn't there before. She's willing to see where things will go and accept his "I'm sorry" which takes her to the ultimate fantasy. This was one of those short stories that I didn't want to see end! I loved Niles' character, he's your hot, British, sophisticated guy with a naughty side. Anna is a strong character that won't be easily won over but she's not stubborn or weak. I'd love to see another book come out to hear where Niles and Anna end up!

3.5⭐️’s : If your bells are jingled by a (sorta) bully romance in redemption mode, a (sorta) taboo, step-brother romance; and you like your sexy-times smutty hot and rough with (sorta) dubious consent and a filthy talking ginger-ninja with a British accent...then Niles & Anna’s story is for you. Oh, and there’s a Christmas tree. 😜 3.5⭐️’s : If your bells are jingled by a (sorta) bully romance in redemption mode, a (sorta) taboo, step-brother romance; and you like your sexy-times smutty hot and rough with (sorta) dubious consent and a filthy talking ginger-ninja with a British accent...then Niles & Anna’s story is for you. A short smutty taboo story that has all the right ingredients: a credible backstory of hate to love guys with British accent step-siblings (no blood relation....but like i care) loads of dominating rough sexytimes an adorable ending I love it!!!!

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. I️ didn’t like this one. Neither MC was compelling, the language was crass, and there was way too much sex in it. Safety (view spoiler)[: there is spanking, tape fantasy, and him calling her a slut while they’re intimate. I’m not into that and don’t find that romantic. (hide spoiler)] I️ didn’t like this one. Stepbrother for Christmas (The Hard and Dirty Holidays, #1) by Celia Aaron HERO - Niles Tremaine. Student at Oxford University and on the rowing team there. Thick auburn hair, bright blue eyes, and dimples. HEROINE - Annalise. In college (in Texas, I assume) studying biology with aspirations to enter med school. Tall and curvy with long black hair and brown eyes. OVERALL THOUGHTS - This was almost a great story! It captured the essence of Christmas in a Colorado chalet perfectly. I was ready for Stepbrother for Christmas (The Hard and Dirty Holidays, #1) by Celia Aaron HERO - Niles Tremaine. I was ready for a naughty step sibling romance. The writing is really well done and characters were developed enough that I could connect to both of them. Unfortunately, the story also included a few things that I would have preferred it didn’t, though I’m sure lots of other people won’t mind them. It’s just my personal preference. Also, the ending feels extremely incomplete with barely an HFN. More details on that under the safety spoilers below. Annalise and Niles have been step siblings for five years, but haven’t seen each other for three. From what I could tell, he graduated high school the year before her and took off for college in England, where he’s from originally. Yes, Niles is a Brit with the accent to match! Once Anna was old enough to attend college she made sure never to visit home if Niles was going to be around. Why? Well, Niles was a real jerk to her for the two years they lived together. I’m talking calling her names, embarrassing her, spreading lies about her at school - he was a real bully. He even read her diary, which comes into play later in the story. When the story opens, we learn that the family has gathered in Aspen, CO for Christmas instead of their home of Dallas, Texas. Anna and Niles run into each other at a coffee shop, each not realizing who the other was at first, and finding each other attractive. Anna is the first to recognize him and immediately bristles. But it turns out Niles is a changed man. When he first met Anna, he had a huge chip on his shoulder because he was still reeling from his mother dying, moving to America, and his father moving on with a new woman. Anna just happened to be a convenient outlet for all his frustration. In the present day, however, he feels terrible about his past behavior and wants to make amends. Anna’s not sure what to think. I have to say, they went from tentatively on the mend to lovers at a whiplash speed and I’m not sure I buy it. Anna made a mean comment about Niles at dinner and he went upstairs early with Anna following not too long after. She goes to bed and then...sexy times. It was so sudden! All I could think was how Niles sneaking into her room could have backfired so hard considering their last conversation ended so badly! It felt really unbelievable to me. However, that’s where the diary comes back into play. He read about her sexual fantasy all those years ago and apparently decided acting it out was the way to make up for all his past wrongdoings...and she’s on board, so I guess he was right! Also, the timeline is a little confusing for me in terms how many years of school each character has left. In the present day, Niles says he’s almost done and getting ready to seek a job in finance, but was unsure if he wanted to settle in England or the United States. However, he’s still in school a year later in the epilogue. I just wish the author would have been more clear in this regard. The ending was so SO disappointing. Again, I’ll say more under the spoilers, but I needed WAY more details than we got and if they were going to move as slowly as they were, I needed a peek WAY further into the future. SAFETY (view spoiler)[ Age: Anna - 21-ish*; Niles - 22-ish** *Anna’s age isn’t stated, but her mother doesn’t bat an eye when she sees Anna drinking wine so either she’s cool with underage drinking or Anna’s already 21. **Niles’s age isn’t stated either, but since he graduated high school a year before Anna, I assume he’s a year older than her. Sexual History: Neither are virgins. Both have had multiple partners since meeting. Niles read in Anna’s diary all those years ago that she lost her virginity while she was still in high school. She’s also recently broken up with a boyfriend that she’d been seeing for several months, but had no spark with. Niles is mentioned to have had a lot of flings while at Oxford. I assume it hasn’t been very long since either of them has had sex. Condoms: Not used, not even discussed. I assume he used them in the past and I also have to assume that Anna was on birth control because even a year later, she’s not pregnant. Heat Level: Hot - 3/5 Push/Pull: Yes (view spoiler)[Anna’s not sure what to make of him at first, not really believing he’s changed despite noticing some positive differences in him. This changes after they have sex. Then she avoids him for a couple days after their parents find out. He gives her the space, but eventually forces her to face what they are to each other. (hide spoiler)] Separation: No, but they hadn’t seen each other for three years prior to the start of the story. Once they reunite, they stay together. However, because they’re both still in school, he does go back to Oxford after Christmas, but it’s implied they see each other on school breaks. Cheating: No OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: No, though a “pretty barista” (his words) gave him her number at the coffee shop in the beginning. He had no intention of calling her, though, even before running into Anna. Then later there’s a couple of snow bunnies that flirt with him in front of Anna, but he tells him he’s taken. None of this causes any real drama. Sex scene with OW/OM: No Abuse: No Possible Pet Peeves/Triggers: Yes (view spoiler)[Rough sex - on page. Dubious consent - on page. Use of the word “slut” during sex - on page. HFN ending. (hide spoiler)] HEA/HFN: HFN (view spoiler)[There’s one epilogue that takes place at Christmas, one year later. They’re still in a relationship, though it’s long distance most of the time since they’re both still in school in different countries. Anna thinks to herself that she’ll be his for many, many years to come and he tells her he loves her. This is the only time it’s said on page, so I have no idea if this is the first time he’s said it to her. No engagement, no marriage, no kids, no plans of him moving back to the United States to live with her...nothing. No commitment whatsoever. I was extremely disappointed. Holy Hell that's freaking hot!!!! And I'm not even talking about the posh British accent. I'm talking about fantasies fulfilled. I'm talking about enemies to lovers. I'm talking about my favorite genre...stepbrother romance. I swear Celia Aaron wrote this as a Christmas present just for me. And I say, thank you, thank you very much! Merry Christmas to all and may the tree never stop jingling all the night.

Ooo la la this book was full of tension full of passion and lust I would never have expected how Annalise and Niles romance started the way it did. Even though Niles was a douche bad when they were younger he certainly has made up for it now. I loved how Niles father took to them being together. 4 Out Of 5 Hearts From Cariad Books

The sex scenes were hot, but not enough groveling on the hero's part for me. Also, shouldn't their parents be more pissed with him for how terribly he treated her in the past???? Also, I was majorly rolling my eyes when the heroine started to take some blame for his shitty behavior. Ugh, no. Buuut the sex scenes were hot

Very exciting Christmas break This was an interesting spin on the stepbrother trope. It took taboo to a whole other level. From hating each other to punishing sex to being in love. Kinda crazy story!
