I think the author does a wonderful job of portraying the personality of a vampire. I like how complex they are- there are millions of different sides to almost every vampire and I honestly couldn't imagine all the twists that this author swiftly stuns his audience with. I love how Maria seems to jump back and forth between the newfound anger that comes with her new vampire self, and the person she was before she was changed: sweet, eager, naive Maria. The hormones really raged through which entertained me greatly; the way that Jupiter had to run in circles to deal with her mood swings. Too hilarious! The author has quite an imagination and introduces us to more to this unique world of vampires with fun new information on the history. I must say the author artfully describes these new ideas (that I'm refusing to spoil, I must admit this is really hard to say without giving anything away!). There are minor things that confused me about the book: there were a few small portions of the book that mentioned Mai and Mia...that didn't make that much sense to me and I honestly couldn't figure out exactly what the author was trying to say. I have some vague ideas but I'm hoping that the next book will answer some of my questions! Overall I enjoyed this book...this author does have a certain flare and I hope that he will continue writing because I think his best is yet to come!

The characters were great and you didn't know who was good and who was bad...then turn the page and it all changed! You didn't know who to trust and what was coming next! Quigley is a character all in his own right! Now on to the next...trust me start with the 1st book then this one and hang on for the ride of your life! Loved the dog's too! Those Vampires!
