Thank god. Finishing this month was as gratifying as finishing a marathon I think. So much drama! Everything was utterly ridiculous and way over the top. It felt like it would never end. Having said that, things all wrapped up too conveniently, so I suspect even MORE drama will pop up in October. Mainly with Mia and the man. It's not all gonna be happy unicorns shitting rainbows for the last three months. Sigh. I just hope it's good. Thank god. Finishing this month was as gratifying as finishing a marathon I think. 3,4 This book was of an intense dramatic charge, I could hardly breathe to the end. Everything that was about to happen bad, happened at the same time. It was very agonizing. But I loved Max's development in history, he's adorable. 3,4 This book was of an intense dramatic charge, I could hardly breathe to the end. Writing reviews can often become mundane, and there is absolutely nothing mundane about SEPTEMBER. So I’ve decided the best way to capture the true essence of this devastatingly heartbreaking story, is to share a small snippet of what you can expect: “You make loving someone seem easy, when it’s only ever been hard. No reader with a heart will fail to shed a modicum of tears.

Audrey Carlan shows us her magic with not only erotic situations but with the suspense factor in September. As she deals with difficult situations, it was comforting to know that she has the support of people who love and care for her. Holy cow what a month September has been. In all honesty for my liking it was too much. I'm not completely loving the twist this chapter took but all the same I can't wait to see how it will play out. This particular chapter was pretty heavy and I'm hoping it won't be easily dismissed. My friends laugh because I get so wrapped up in the characters you'd think these events and people were real. I feel for them, and cry for them and really get into their world. This month has been my least favorite, so I am going to give it 2 stars - I did a bit of skimming because parts were just annoying. The hostage situation, the overbearing sleazy thug debt collector situation, the dreams - I just did not buy in to it. There were many situations that were just exaggerated. I also got pretty fed up with her BFF - she is just class-less. But, I feel like a major hurdle has been jumped in this whole storyline and hopefully the last 3 books will bring it home nicely!

Well, this one had a lot packed into it. Mia and Maddy rushed home to see their dad who took a turn for the worse. With Max's backing they were able to get better doctors and while dad isn't dying anymore he's still not awake. All the big action dealt with Mia's debt and Wes. I hated what happened with the debt and how Mia's world was affected. I was glad that Max stepped into help, wish that Mia would have let him soon so others wouldn't have had to pay. And I knew something was off with Wes. I Well, this one had a lot packed into it. Mia and Maddy rushed home to see their dad who took a turn for the worse. September continued to shake things up for Mia and I think this might've been one of her most difficult months so far. It's like everything bad happened at the same time and I personally thought it was a bit much. This book is filled with drama. And there's this plot twist that I didn't like at all, it felt unrealistic and like it was added there to make things even more difficult and then the decision Mia had to make. There was a disgusting scene that I skimmed, because it felt so wrong. And th September continued to shake things up for Mia and I think this might've been one of her most difficult months so far. And there's this plot twist that I didn't like at all, it felt unrealistic and like it was added there to make things even more difficult and then the decision Mia had to make. There was a disgusting scene that I skimmed, because it felt so wrong. And that creep she owns money to makes an appearance in this book and I really dislikes him and the scenes involving him. Overall this was one of my least favorite months, but it did got better towards the end. Really everything that could go wrong seems to go wrong in this book, lots of things at the same time and even so it felt some parts dragged on a bit. The plot twists with the money and Wes just seemed a bit too much and I rather have the focus being only on her dad. But there are also good things that come from this month. I liked how Mia had a talk with Matt and we see Mia her sister Madison a bit more in this one. And Max made this book a lot better too. Max is awesome, how he is there for Mia and Madison and supports them. I really was impressed with how he handled things and made sure they took care of themselves and he is there for them, helping them get through this. I really liked that part. Just like every month so far, this month is another part of Mia her journey and I hope for that after this month things get smoother again for her. I did think what happened in this book made Mia realize how much she really cared for Wes and I think she needed that, but I still didn't fully like the twist surrounding Wes. It just felt off to me and didn't quite work for me. Still this month felt like an important month in her journey, but it just didn't fully work for me. And I understood Mia wanted to do everything herself, but I also think she should learn to accept the help offered sometimes. To summarize: I didn't enjoy this month as much as the previous months. Mostly because of a plot twist that felt very unrealistic to me and didn't quite work for me. There is a lot of drama and bad things that happen in this book and it just felt a bit too much. There were some good moments as well, like Mia her talk with Matt and I really like max. He really showed his personality in this book and how he was there for Mia and Madison and it was awesome. So overall I have a bit of mixed feelings about this episode, it had some good parts and some not so good parts.

Nine months and Mia ends up back where it all started. September has a different feel and it’s mostly all predicated from the revelations in Mia’s August client. September is a darker read, heck the series has gone it bit darker since MIa’s assignment in June. It’s evolved into a story WAY beyond the angsty romance read I expected. Yes, there have been some times where MIa seemed more like the party girl I envisioned but Mia’s been more contemplative of late and even with her positive attitude, there’s been this lingering sadness behind all her bravado. I’m really torn about September. I love the series, and I love Audrey’s writing, but I just didn't find myself nearly as emotionally involved as I’ve been past. The storyline I found most fascinating in September is the one involving Mia’s ex Blaine Pintero and her bestie Ginelle. Mia facing down Blaine and seeing how the mess of her life impacts her bestie gave us something else to consider abouts MIa’s personality. I’ve always thought of her as brave and she is gonna need that trait to get her through the rest of the year. 4 stars. Book and series recommendation. *I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

Audrey has taken Mia on an epic journey. One that seemed iffy and scary... Time and time again, Mia has had to remind herself to "trust the journey". September reminds us of how far Mia has come, how much she has endured, and showed us her capacity to bounce back hard from every crisis. September's experience is different for many reasons, but more so because we get to see Mia at her most desperate. This book made me tear up. August was good, but September really kicked butt!
