Europe, 2060 “The years following the disappearance of the sun were wrought with destruction, chaos, and death. The human race was brought to a fraction of its original population within the first few months. Even with the sudden illumination of the moon, three days after the apocalypse, the world was shrouded in a permanent darkness. When I woke in the city streets of New Y Europe, 2060 “The years following the disappearance of the sun were wrought with destruction, chaos, and death. The human race was brought to a fraction of its original population within the first few months. Even with the sudden illumination of the moon, three days after the apocalypse, the world was shrouded in a permanent darkness. When I woke in the city streets of New York one hundred and fifty years ago, the world had come to a sudden, deafening halt: everything shimmered and glowed in the wake of the spreading fires as the awakening of the new world unfolded in infinite night. But, I could see it, the past, what once was, the beauty buried within the shadows of chaos; I could tell this was a place full of potential—a place I wanted to save. However, I hadn’t even considered I could lose everything…everyone. My name is Alessandra, listen to my story; take heed to the lessons I was too consumed with conceit to see. Learning all too late what I should have coveted above all else, not power, or the greater good, but what I was too blind to see right in front of me…”

I won this book in a goodreads giveaway. I'm really excited to read this one! I was really hoping when I entered that I'd be winner, so I'm super excited to see that I am. I definitely think it's going to be one that I thoroughly enjoy! I'll update my review when I receive and read the book. Beautiful cover, by the way. And love the title of this and the previous one (which I'll need to get at some point since I've one this one), too. I won this book in a goodreads giveaway. I'm really excited to read this one!
