Saved My Life! I wrote this book in the throes of deep depression. It gave me a reason to get out of bed in the morning. I kept it for years before I rewrote and published it.

The language was stilted and too formal and many times the reactions of the characters were not appropriate to the scene. The plot was just a bit too unbelievable - for the cop to bring over the entire murder file to a civilian - really? I finished the book only because I can't leave a book unread that I have started. I will not be reading any more of this series. The language was stilted and too formal and many times the reactions of the characters were not appropriate to the scene. A Charming Book! I picked this book up on a lark based on the synopsis & reviews. I was very pleased with it. I know a few reviewers felt that the jewelry making & gem facts was too much information, but I really enjoyed reading about it. Learned some really interesting things. The mystery itself had many twists & turns & some very scary/intense moments. The characters were extremely likable. I definitely enjoyed this book. My only complaint- for as good of friends as Jade & Meg were purported to A Charming Book! I picked this book up on a lark based on the synopsis & reviews. I was very pleased with it. Exciting book, loved it This is a fantastic book. I wasn't sure if I would like it, but the story just grabbed me and I couldn't put it down. Jade, the main character, is a jewelry designer and a very likeable person. She knew that when her phone rang in the middle of the night, it would not be good news. Hearing that her best friend was murdered sends her into a fast paced investigation. She soon becomes the next target and no one around her is safe. Exciting book, loved it This is a fantastic book.
