Almost unreadable I give it zero stars due to it being incredibly difficult to read. Many of the sentences are so poorly constructed, it's hard to figure out what the writer is trying to say. Sometimes he seems to be totally confused. I read two chapters and gave it up as a waste of effort and time. The one star is only because this rating system won't allow none. In bad need of editing I have always believed that a critique should be in two parts, the good and the bad. So here goes. This book could use a good editing. The sentences in places are jumbled affairs. There are too many examples to sight them all just trust me on this. Also the writing reminds me of papers I read as a teacher of history trying to be a scholarly but missing the goal. The first three chapters or so all basically have the same introduction paragraph. Then there is the missions discussed in this book, most of them are about long range operations. There is in other words not much secret missions to be found and WWII had several impressive secret missions. Now that the bad is out of the way here is the good. There is a plethora of information in this book that shows the author did some research on the subject. I hope that the author is able to sharpen his writing skills and produce a more readable book in the future.

I don't do book reviews I don't do book reviews like you keep seeing, as I find that some give too much of the plot away and I personally hate that, as it makes the book not worth reading. I much prefer to take the authors back cover write up as a review as it can either intrigue you enough to read the book of provide you enough information to make you decide that the book is not for you. My review rules are: The more stars, the more I liked it. If there are too many typos or errors the less stars I don't do book reviews I don't do book reviews like you keep seeing, as I find that some give too much of the plot away and I personally hate that, as it makes the book not worth reading. Simple, uncomplicated and to the point without giving anything away. Some of the books I read have been given to me by the author as a pre-release copy and this does not bias my reviews in any way

Poorly written Very poorly written; desperately in need of a good editor. Hard to follow at times. Sometimes the writing is 5th rate or worse. For example, when describing that someone was shot in the leg, the author emphasized by saying he was also wounded....is that not saying the same thing?!

World War 2 Secret Missions: Brave & Daring Secret Missions of WW2 (Holocaust, Soldier Stories, Auschwitz, Hitler, Concentration Camps, Military Missions, Military Strategy) by Raymond Jennings was a great read. This was a good collection of war stories and secrets.

Short History I gave this book three stars mainly for the way it was written. I think it could have been more engaging for the reader. Good facts.
