   This is what all the shitty tumblr-poet type authors currently monopolizing on the trending watered-down feminism wish they could be doing but aren’t. It’s graceless and funny and unpretentious and real. I’m into it. Yeah they’re technically tweets but they’re their own kind of poetry, and they blow that crap out of the water.

   Mortara's book is incredibly generous. I was in shock reading it, as some of the tweets sound like things I've said in the last five years or even in the last month. American society has a mistaken idea that medication fixes mental health problems and its just not that simple. A lot of the time, like in Mortara's case, they make life even more difficult and make you even more difficult to be around. Thanks for putting this out there. I feel a little less alone.
