Here is a brief description of the guide: In this complete and detailed guide about Peru you will find more than just travel suggestion. This book has been put together by a local and it aims to cover more than just the beaten path of the usual touristic itineraries. Peru is a truly magical and mystical land that has been inhabited by ancient civilization dating as far back as 20,000 years ago. In the first three chapters, learn about what makes the country of Peru so unique and learn about our history to truly understand the acclaimed sites you are about to see. In Chapter 4 “How to plan ahead for your trip to Peru” you will learn the essential information to ensure a smooth planning and avoid any unpleasant surprises that can diminish the joy of traveling through Peru. Chapter 5 is the 101 on Lima, the capital of Peru, sometimes one of the most overlooked cities in Peru. In chapter 6, we dive straight into the adventure with subchapters on mountaineering through the Andes, expeditions in the Amazon, unique sand boarding and dune buggies experiences and flying over the Nazca lines. Chapter 7 changes the pace and covers some of the mythology of our legends, expressly some Inca background and Amazon myths. Travel to the beautiful city of Trujillo by reading chapter 8 and find out about the marvelous pre-Colombian city of Chan Chan, located in the vicinity of Trujillo. The following two chapters cover the coveted locations of Cusco and Machu Picchu and then in the next one, we travel south of Lima and into Lake Titicaca and its floating islands but not before you find out about the Colca Canyon and the incredible Valley of Volcanoes. After all this hiking and trekking through Andean heights you might want to have some fun in the sun. Read Chapter 12 to get tips on the best waterfalls, beaches and islands. Peruvians enjoy their traditions and festivities and chances are you will be visiting Peru during one of our most famous celebrations, so check out the next chapter and coordinate your travel dates. Chapter 14 is an introduction to the legendary Amazon and it covers two regions, Amazonas and Loreto, which are located smack in the center of the Amazon. No travel is complete without shopping and Peru offers some world-class traditional markets, which are described in Chapter 15. Since Peru is one the most bio diverse countries in the world, it is bound to have some pretty amazing wildlife. Familiarize yourself with the amazing fauna that you will encounter in your trip with chapter 16. Peruvian Music and Dance is covered in Chapter 17 and chapter 18 explains which are the most delicious foods that are typical to the renowned Peruvian cuisine. We want you to stay out of trouble, so buff up on safety tips from a local in Chapter 19. Least but not last, in chapter 20 “Accommodation in Peru- something for all” provides you with some recommendations for lodging during your travels. Enjoy your trip in Peru! Download Today! Lots of information about different areas of the country, towns, markets, and historic sites. Info on the history of the different areas, how to get around the country, places to stay and eat. Some good helpful tips. Well done.

This was a solid travel book, as I have been wanting to travel to Peru and Argentina. It was unique as it really focused on the time you would spend there in Peru and what other people thought was the best things to see. The history element was also nice. It is not as comprehensive as some of the other series though done by the major travel book firms, but for someone looking for off the grid and basic survival tips, it is solid choice. *** ½
