I am totally intrigued by suspense novels set in bayou country—with its spicy Cajun cuisine, stealthy alligators, and stagnant swamps! Remy Broussard, an injured police officer who returns to small town Port David, is everything good heroes are made of—handsome, gallant, and courageous. Allie is sweet and kindhearted, but just a tad naive...at first. The chemistry between the two is deeply palpable and that first kiss? Ooh lala! But a stalker stands between them and a HEA, and must be caught! Despite that I enjoyed this quick, light read and highly recommend it for those times when you don't want to delve in a deep, lengthy, challenging book for whatever reason.

Mystery, love, a bit of Cajun The mystery in this book has many twists with some Cajun thrown in. The characters are entertaining. The love part is clean and enjoyable and has a happy ending.

This book like the previous three was great. Loved the story line and the build up of suspense. Remy and Allie make a great couple. Margaret has proved again that you can have a great story line without sex and vulgarity. Great job!

I stopped reading this 4th book at chapter 5 because this book's story line & characters were boring. The only thing I liked the Christian parts of the story. It’s the fourth book in the Strong Women, Extraordinary Situations series. The situations encountered by our heroine, Allie, were indeed extraordinary. At a point or two, I was wondering if she was really all that strong. However, in the next instant, she would be back in control and moving forward. Allie was basically a trusting person but not everyone around her was trustworthy. The real key to her ability to keep going was the trust she had in Christ. Somewhere along the way, the hero had put aside his trust and faith in Christ and tried to handle it all on his own. But he got to the end of himself and realized he needed help from God. If you love a good mix of suspense and romance, this book has it. I recommend you read the book. It’s a fairly quick read. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

I love a good mystery with action and suspense, top it off with a inspirational theme, a little romance and a strong heroine and it's a book I can't put down. Deadly Countdown had all of these qualities and once I started it I couldn't put it down. Remy a cop on leave, is back home to recover. Home is where his childhood friend lives-Allie a widow whom is being stalked. Located in the swamp land and plenty of action, and an intriguing plot I recommend Deadly Countdown.
