Anarchy... Well Named! 4 1/2 Stars I just have one question, can I join the crew of the DS Anarchy? Elle Casey is taking me back to my first love and that was Sci Fy . I haven't really read Sci Fy for some time but I find after reading books 1 & 2 of Drifters' Alliance I want more. This second installment of the series does not disappoint, Casey does what she does best by building a solid storyline as well as continuing to grow and nurture the main characters. Captain Cass is, as we all know, a serious badass, she is a kick ass, ask questions later kinda girl, my favorite type of female lead, but as this story evolves we are presented with the more vulnerable side to Cass as she takes up her leadership role as Captain putting her crew first, honestly they are not just her crew but what she hopes to become her family. Secrets are revealed, the past comes back to haunt Cass, a crew comes together, and alliances are forged. I can't wait to see what is in store for Cass and the crew of the DS Anarchy next. Book 3 is set to release early November.

4.5* So when Elle Casey writes a series she doesn't mess around!!! I am loving all the twists and turns and the action in this novel is amazing!!! I could feel the blood....so much Gore my sister who hates love stories always reads Elle because of her graphic discriptions!!!LOL!! I am absolutely at a loss as to the actual love interest, but I think that makes it more fun to figure out!!! Can't wait for the next one!!! 4.5* So when Elle Casey writes a series she doesn't mess around!!! I am loving all the twists and turns and the action in this novel is amazing!!! This felt like a filler book. Everything that happened probably could have been split between the first book and the third, the plot did not add anything to the story and basically nothing actually happened. It was like “this is what happened while they waited” *insert random uninteresting adventure with 1 surprise twist that could have been a chapter in book 3*. Honestly, it’s put me off reading the third book.

these are fun!basically books one and then book two only cover about one or two days each, but they are packed to the brim with action, much fun! it’s very nice to find something safe fun engaging and well written to read.

Short but worth reading Fun space opera. Woman captain who is strong without devolving into shallow bitchiness. Fun pseudo science and exciting universe. I got my copy at the local library on ebook.

Started this in late afternoon on my birthday, finished it at 2 AM on the 8th. Jumped back on Amazon and grabbed book three, then read it until I fell asleep. Elle creates great characters!

Getting there. Character development but still some secretive stuff going on. I'll wait a couple of days before going on to Book 3. Getting there. Character development but still some secretive stuff going on. I'll wait a couple of days before going on to Book 3.

I really like it. Great continuation of the 1st book. My only complaint was it is very short compared to the 1st book. I have already ordered the 3rd book though.
Ashley Wu –
Engaging but short Definitely attention grabbing and suspenseful but too short. Good cliffhanger. Curious is the third is also as short as this one.

Standard book 2 of a trilogy. Already a deus ex machina ending.

It’s finally time to meet the other members of the Alliance and what an odd group they are. While they may appear to be very different from one another, it soon becomes apparent that this Alliance has the potential to be something great, as each ship brings something unique to the table. We learned a little more about Cass and Macon in the previous book, and in this one we learn a little more about the rest of the crew. The twins are hiding quite a secret, as is Lucinda. The crew of the Anarchy may still be hiding things from one another but they seem to be able to pull together when the going gets tough, and unfortunately for them, they’re going to be tested yet again. I’m not sure if this book is any more exciting than the last, or if I’m just more involved with the story now but it’s definitely exciting and I can’t wait to find out what happens next. My only real complaint about this set of novels so far, is that they are quite short in comparison to some of her other works, so you’ll find you’ve read all there is to read before you know it. While that may be slightly disappointing because you’ll want more, the up side is that the story isn’t over yet. Bring on book 4!

The second book in the Drifters series is as awesomely smooth as the previous one. So here what I add to say about book 1: I love the sci-fi adventure genre (call it space opera if you will) and Drifters Alliance is a superb example of it. The story itself is a straightforward, fun and exciting one, but it is the absolute smoothness of the writing that brings it to greatness. As far as sci-fi adventure goes Drifters Alliance as all the right ingredients: interesting characters, action/tension sequences, a well though out settings full of looming questions and with Captain Elle Casey at the (writing) helm; I'm totally on-board. So after a second helping of the buttery smoothness of Elle Casey writing, I'm still hungry for more and to hell with cholesterol.

Still enjoyable, but definitely not quite as solid as the first one. One of the things that really appealed to me about Cass was her balance. She was winging it and doing a good job of hiding how terrified she was inside. When shit went sideways your asshole clenched right along with her and you breathed a sigh of relief as she pulled it off and got out. In Book 2, she's becoming a bit too in-control. We're learning more about her training and now every time we need to know something, she's studied it. When we need to do something, she's been trained in it. Everything that happens to them seems to revolve around her past. It's too convenient. The characters are a bit too slapstick, too. The humour is starting to feel forced, and I get the sense that the book was written fairly quickly and not polished as much as it should have been to tone down those burrs. Still enjoying the series, but at 5 bucks a pop I really want them to have a BIT more meat to them.

4 to 4,5 stars Wow. Just wow. I liked the 1st book, but this one really blew my mind : got my heartbeat up, gave me a sleepless night, got me telling the short version of the story to my (star wars geek) son who seemed to get as excited as I am about The DS Anarchy. Captain Cass is still great, her crew is fantastic, her thoughts (and blunders )are awesome! It was hugely entertaining reading the chapters where Cass 'meets' a pirate, got 'shiped' to her enemy, and where she had to face her past agai 4 to 4,5 stars Wow. Just wow. An engrossing series. A nice blend of characters makes this series a great read. There are plot twists enough to keep the story interesting without getting so complicated you can't keep track of who is doing what. The adventures of Captain Cass and her crew are a fun read. Action packed The series is getting better. Lots of action, snarky comments and strong characters. I like that all the characters are developed so nicely and that the story flows well. Onward to more adventures

This was pretty much as good as the first, but again we leave off almost mid-scene, and the pacing is just so incredibly rapid it feels rushed and unrealistic. Still entertaining, but maybe starting to wear on me.

Ok still good but wish this was one book! The way it was cut off seems like it was but sepetated later :( Still hints at romance but no real movement to make it a romance. Still very well written.

Fast paced and funny. Reminds me a lot of the much too short lived television series, Firefly.

Loved this as much as the first book in this series. Would definitely recommend the entire series, as long as you don't mind ignoring everything else going on for a few hours.
