'Nanny Makes Three' was a barely tolerable read for me and that is attributed to the wishy-washy heroine. She heaps upon herself the blame and guilt for everything that happens to everyone around her. Example: Her best friend wanted to beat her in barrel racing and this friend also saw that the guy she liked did not like her but was interested in our heroine. She connived to get him and thought nothing of her supposed best friend. When Anna, the friend, runs her next race she is careless and ends up paralyzed. So for ten years our heroine will not touch a horse nor allow herself happiness for if she would have only lost that race Anna would not have been injured. She basically hid away at school. It is like that with all the people she knows. She takes the fault and blame for every negative thing that happens to them and most of time she wasn't even present. It got so old and frustrating. Sackcloth and ashes anyone? Why did her parents not help her through this? Well it seems they wanted to sell her prized horse to pay for college and she has spent many many years studying for a career she doesn't like. IMO she was weak and dim. She had to be begged to do anything and everything. The redundancy was too much. A Two Star rating was generous!

He's a single man with no experience with babies. What's he going to do? He looks for a nanny, hoping to get one who is able to start immediately. He got another surprise when the nanny was someone he knew many years ago. Hadley hadn't seen Liam in 10 years but remembered him to be quite a playboy so she did not believe the baby wasn't his. As Hadley cared for the baby and spent more time with Liam, she saw that he's changed from the man she knew years ago. I really liked Liam. Not only was he a successful rodeo rider and ranch owner, but an honourable man who took on the responsibility of caring for his infant niece. Hadley was wonderful with the baby. Even though she tried not to get too attached to her, knowing it was a temporary nanny position, she couldn't help herself from falling for the little one. But I felt so sorry for her because of the sad events in her past and the stress she put herself under because of it. When Hadley was riding in rodeos as a teen she had a crush on Liam. She found she was still attracted to him now but fought it not wanting to be another of the many who fell for him. Will they keep fighting their attraction when they are stranded in a snowstorm? I loved this romance. It had cowboys and a baby so how could I not love it? Ohhh, and that ending was just so perfect!

However, he was pretty sure that the baby belonged to his twin brother, so he accepted custody of little Maggie. But he's over his head with her, so he hires a nanny to help him out. He's surprised when it turns out to be Hadley. Hadley remembers Liam from when they were both competing in rodeos. She'd had quite a crush on him back then, but life intervened and she hasn't seen him in ten years. Now that she's working for him, she can't let herself get attached. I liked Hadley, but I did get a bit frustrated with her at times. She has a habit of taking responsibility for things that aren't her fault. One of those things was an accident that left her best friend at the time confined to a wheelchair. Hadley has been punishing herself for ten years, mainly by giving up her horse and riding that she loved so much. Early on in her nannying career she had also fallen for her employer and his children, only to have her heart broken when he went back to his ex-wife. She blamed herself for not being enough for him. I liked Liam. He had already decided that the playboy lifestyle was getting old and had settled in to work the ranch. He wants to find the woman for him, but hasn't made the time to do so. When Hadley shows up to be Maggie's nanny, he's reminded of how much he had liked her back when they were teenagers, and wants to get to know her now. I also loved the way that he was so determined to do what was right for Maggie. I liked the development of the relationship between Liam and Hadley. He realizes very early that she is the woman he wants, but also that it will take some work to convince her, especially since she still sees him as the womanizer he used to be. As they spend time together taking care of Maggie, Hadley begins to see the man that Liam has become. Getting snowed in together while on a trip gives them both a chance to see what could be, but both have issues from their pasts to deal with before they can move on together. Both Liam and Hadley have to take hard looks at themselves and the choices they've made. I loved the way that Liam faced up to how his mother's abandonment affected all of his relationships up until he got involved with Hadley, and nearly ruined that one too. His moment of self awareness was really moving. I also liked seeing the way that Hadley realized how badly she had sabotaged her own life, and that it would be up to her to fix it. I loved the ending and seeing them both finally able to open up completely and let the other in. The only real problem I had is that Liam's brother Kyle still doesn't know about Maggie. I really want to know what's going to happen when he does.

He had no clue how to take care of a baby, so he called and requested a nanny as soon as possible. He was shocked that it was Hadley that came to his rescue. He had a crush on her years ago. It was sweet how they took care of baby Maggie. I really enjoyed the part where the three took a small vacation. They were walking hand in hand as snow was falling around them. When they got snowed in, they found ways to heat up the cold winters night. This book had a bit of humor, romance, heart-warming moments and life lessons weaved throughout the pages. Hadley had been carrying around guilt for years. Her best friend had been hurt, and she blamed herself. No amount of guilt can change the past. Many times the people effected has already moved on with life. When we forgive our self, we allow ours self to be happy. Hadley forgave herself after she found out her friend was doing great. It allowed her to follow her heart, and experience the love that Liam was offering. sample from chapter 7 - The gently falling snow captured them in a world all their own, isolating them from obligations, and interruptions. Hadley laughed in delight as fat flakes melted on her cheeks and eyelashes. He wanted to kiss each on away *********** My only complaint about the story is I would have liked to read about Kyle's reaction to having a daughter. With Kyle being in the military, he could have been deployed for a year, and it would make it near impossible to get a hold of him. So I do understand why Liam couldn't get a hold of his brother. I got a free copy of Nanny Makes Three by Cat Schield, who is a very talented author, for a honest review. Thank you Cat for asking me to read this delightful book.

This is the third installment in a new series that I just started and Ms. Schield has hooked me into a new series and I will be going back to read the first two books. I really enjoy reading Ms. Schield’s writing because it’s flawless and very touching. I love the amount of detail her books have and the storylines are brilliant. Liam Wade is a wonderful man that is ready to start a real relationship so he has been concentrating on the family ranch but all that changes when his housekeeper calls him. He had no idea that he would be taking care of a baby and knew he was in big trouble. Hadley Stratton is a bright young woman that has a little bit of down time until her classes start again. Now she is taking care of little Maggie at least until Liam feels comfortable with her and for him to get used to being a father. She didn’t think that he would remember her since they meet a very long time again but Liam didn’t forget and that could mean trouble. These two were in sync when taking care of Maggie and Liam was getting attached to Maggie and it was sweet to see. Liam and Hadley were going to be testing waters where their non-relationship was concern. They were spending so much time together especially after she agreed to move in with him but that was not the only thing. Hadley was seeing a different person a person that she could care a lot about. What Liam didn’t understand was why Hadley was being so judgmental towards him and thinking the worst about him. After hearing Liam Hadley knew that he had a hard time trusting women since his and his brother’s mother left them and never turned back. Hadley also needed to get over the guilt she left for what happened to her former best friend. She did not do anything wrong and she needed to stop taking the responsibility of everyone else’s and carrying that burden. They were both meant for each other but they both needed to talk with the truth about their feelings and then they could live happily ever after. Nanny Makes Three was an excellent read. I love the characters and they were developed beautifully. The chemistry was sensual and passionate. There was only one disappointment and that was not hearing anything about Kyle, Liam’s twin brother and if he had gotten any of the messages that he was a father. This was a memorable book and I look forward to reading more of her books. I totally recommend this read!! Received a gifted copy of this book by the author

The attraction he feels he tries to ignore but its too hard when he convinces her to live in for a little bit until Maggie's better situated. Hadley had a crush on Liam when she was a teenager but now that she's grown up and working in his home as a nanny for his daughter she can't let such things intrude on her work. She's been down that road before and she won't take the chance of making the same mistake twice in one lifetime. Why Liam keeps referring to Maggie as his niece is odd. He's a playboy and everyone knows it why would he say he's not her father? After spending more and more time with the both of them she realizes that he is telling the truth about that, but is he telling the truth to her. Burned once and twice shy Hadley doesn't know if she can believe a man that she works for. I really enjoyed reading about Hadley and Liam. The past meshing with the future. Liam had already decided that he didn't want to live the playboy lifestyle so he was just waiting on the right woman to be his life partner, when Hadley showed up he knew that she was the right woman. Nothing was perfect, they had bumps in the road and that makes it believable. Through all the ups and down their love shines through. Easy and fast read. Also we get to see more from the Texas Cattlemans Club! Thanks to the author for the book in exchange for a honest review. Don't forget to thank the author by leaving a review. It really does help!

I was pleasantly surprised to read Nanny Makes Three and find the story was anything but what I consider to be a typical ‘nanny’ story. What do you do when a woman shows up on your doorstep with a baby, claiming it’s your child and then leaves? You call for help. What do you do when the help shows up and it’s a girl from your past that’s grown into a woman you want to get to know better because she didn’t give you the chance back when she was a teenager? With no other family to take care of the child, Liam cares for the premature baby. But with a business to run, no idea how to care for the child, he calls a nanny service to send someone to help. What he wasn’t expecting was a past horse barrel racer he had an interest in, but had suddenly left the riding circuit. Hadley Stratton knew the name all too well when the service called and asked her to work for Mr. Wade. She knew him from her horse lovin’, barrel racing days. He was her teenage crush but events changed her path in life. One of those events would have her fighting her adult feelings for the man Liam Wade grew into. Cat does a wonderful job of writing the internal and external, push and pull between Liam and Hadley. It was a refreshing read with a touch of emotion that had my eyes watering. My only disappointment, I couldn’t read it in one sitting due to the pre-Thanksgiving preparations.

But a painful accident caused her to give up her dream and take up a different career. Now liam keeps reminding her of all that she has lost. Spending time together caring for an infant and being in close proximity with liam caused sparks to fly between them but they have to first shed their individual baggage before they can find their HEA. It was a good short read but there were some loose ends that weren't wrapped up at the end of the story. Eg did liam end up claiming Maggie as his daughter? What happen to that case? Did his brother ever acknowledged he had a daughter? The author did not give closure to these in the story so I'm left wondering which I don't like.

I didn't like it, the heroine came across to me as selfish (especially at the end where she left hero in hospital alone with the sick baby). I did like hero was celibate for a year before meeting heroine again. Just not really interested in this storyline/plot. Np. Nanny Makes Three is a story that is sweet on the surface with an underlying current of sex appeal. I have been following the Texas Cattleman's Club series since the very beginning. 3.5 starts I liked Hadley and Liam, they were both strong characters who really developed throughout the story. Overall, a well written tale of man left holding a baby who many believed to be his and woman who realized there is more than what appears in the man she's attracted to. 3.5 starts I liked Hadley and Liam, they were both strong characters who really developed throughout the story. Cute story, good writing of the bedrooms scenes (got my heart beating a little faster), and a happy ending. Perfect for a light read while waiting for a kid to come out of practice! I won this in a goodreads giveaway.

Story was so slow in the begining, I actually started to read another book, side-by-side, to keep my mood alive..... and all of a sudden, it rushes.....straight into marriage

I loved the way Liam took responsibility for his niece completely. I was disappointed that Had,ey would walk out of the hospital no matter what she felt.
