This collection is not lacking for wonderful concepts. Some of these stories, if fleshed out a bit, would make for novellas that could stand with the modern greats of sci fi. All the main sub-genres are captured; time-travel, post-apocalyptic, alien invasion...with some excellent new age concepts (view spoiler)[(alien websites anyone?) (hide spoiler)] . However, the recurring theme of the collection seems to be "unfinished work". Many of the stories stop short of reaching what should be their climax. Their conclusions seem forced, never reaching a natural end. It would be like ending this review now. ^I could do it and you would get the point, but it would be far from a good review. There are some other minor demerits; some grammar issues and thematic repetition. These are very forgivable especially considering that one solution could fix all the issues of the book: - proof reading. I feel like this is the first draft. Listen to the constructive criticism, flesh out the stories a bit, touch up the grammar/syntax and you have a great book. If done, I would greatly look forward to reading the second draft. 2/5 - good concepts, execution is left wanting.
