Another event yeah...! Yeah I'm not a big fan of event book as they disturb the flow of the main series and it usually is not done that well. That being the case I found this 3 issue arc quite good overall and here's why: World: The art is good, I am really starting to like Marquez's art simply because his character models and facial expressions are so good. That being the case I found this 3 issue arc quite good overall and here's why: World: The art is good, I am really starting to like Marquez's art simply because his character models and facial expressions are so good. The emotions really shine through and I love that about this book. The world building here being a even tie-in is actually not as bad as I thought it would be. Sure, it does deal with SHIELD and Galactus, but mostly it deals with the events following the last arc with Cloak and Dagger and Bombshell. I really like this team dynamic and I like the time they spend on these other characters, I'm so ready to have this team fight crime with Spidey. Story: Ok, first let's get the event out of the way. This was not as bad I thought it would be, cause the pieces in these 3 issues are not really that event driven. Sure, it's hanging in the background and driving the story, but the main focus on the story is not Galactus but rather the characters and their relationships and their history. This made these 3 issues wonderful and good to read. I am still very much annoyed with Miles father and how he's written cause I know Bendis is trying to create drama in his life but man he's just a nuisance right now and I need more background on his irrational hate even to his own son, it's bordering on stupid, that's my biggest problem with the book and the series so far. The other little tales we find here are all character based and I really enjoyed them. Characters: Miles does get a huge chunk of development here with him coming to gripes with being Spidey again and also the Dad stuff. It's good and annoying at the same time, I've said it above the Dad character is just not working for me right now and I won't get into it. Cloak and Dagger and Bombshell were wonderful in these 3 issues, it gave the reader more context and more development in where they were and are and I can't wait for a team for these young teenagers. It was really giving me a Teen Titans vibe and being a DC person myself it makes me smile. I like this team dynamic and I want more! It was enjoyable, it was a tie-in that was not half bad, but the Dad situation is really really starting to grate me. Bendis is a great character writer but man I really cannot stand Dad, it's drama for the sake of drama and so far it is the biggest issue I have with this book. Other than that, the series has been wonderful to read. Onward to the next book!
