Amo Final Fantasy. I am sorry but I didn't enjoy it at all. I am not going to make a review out of it because there's nothing to review. I couldn't connect - maybe I was missing something and this part of one of the games - I don't know. I am sorry but I didn't enjoy it at all. I feel weird not giving anything with the Final Fantasy title a rave review, but I have to admit that I wasn't a fan of this manga. I bought it and the first in the spin-off series that I haven't gotten to read yet. I did however read this manga and was not pleased with the overall product. The cover was well designed and showed true promise for a brilliant tale. The cover was well designed and showed true promise for a brilliant tale. The first thing that I noticed when reading the manga is that the art inside the manga is not near as brilliant and breathtaking as the art that the Final Fantasy world has come to offer its fans. The art is pretty similar to what you'd see in any normal manga you'd pick up. I was hoping for stunning artwork accompanied by an action packed and well told story. Well, there was some action... Although there was a nice amount of action, none of it made sense to me. I got the basic concepts of the story and really think that some of the ideas are fantastic, they just need to be built upon more in-depth. The panels seemed like they were more text and chat bubble space than artwork, and I got the feeling that this was a rush job. It may not have been, but I expected something much more worthy of the Final Fantasy brand. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great either. At this point I am not sure if I will bother reading any more in the series if they make any other volumes because there is too much really good manga out there to read manga that is just "ok".

I recall spending less than 1h on the game and couldn't get into it; it's been years and I have no desire to try again despite spending so much money on the Collector's Edition. Decided to finally read the manga and it was a whole load of meh. Art is quite basic, there's too much going with the plot and requires lots of backstories (maybe I need to have played the game) to understand what's happening. I feel like I've landed halfway through a series, right into the middle of a war I don't understand and characters with powers that seem limitless but unexplained. FF games are known to have complex stories but they make sense drawn out and played over 40h... not in a manga that can be read in 30min.

Final Fantasy Type-0 is very pretty and has a lot of cool concepts to explore, but it tries to do way too much in a single volume of space, leading to a confusing mess. Honestly, I wouldn't mind getting into the lore of this more, but I'd prefer to do that through the game rather than this. I hope that this makes at least marginally more sense if you read it post-game. It's beautiful, but complicated and underdeveloped. I haven't played the game so it might be that I'm missing some background info, but I just got more confused as the story progressed. That said, I'm intrigued and the world pulled me in so I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. It's beautiful, but complicated and underdeveloped. I feel like this was made as just another advertisement tool and they actually didn't put any effort into it. The art style is alright, but majorly lacking compared to most manga. There's rarely any text. You won't actually understand any of it unless you play the game. The actual art is very nice, but the story telling is very clunky even for someone who has played the game and understands what is supposed to be happening.

Una buena introducción al universo de FF type-0 con excelentes ilustraciones aunque muy corta.

Final Fantasy with blood and dismemberment! This is the manga that came with the Collector's Edition of Final Fantasy Type-0. It's not a prequel but rather a side-story taking place near the beginning of the game. There are some extremely minor spoilers but there's nothing here that you won't find out within the first few hours of the main plot. It's a nice bonus story; the art isn't bad and the plot is serviceable. A few strange translation errors got through the localization team for the Engli Final Fantasy with blood and dismemberment! There's action but none of the gravitas of the game really translated to the manga form, probably because of space constraints. This is apparently the first of a series of three side-story manga taking place in Orience, but as of now this is the only one with an English translation.

When i first bought the game i was a bit confused as to what was going on until it picked up a bit and i was starting to understand. The manga however reallly helped me understand the game a whole lot more and because of that i was really able to enjoy it. I haven`t finished the game just yet, but this manga and even the side story helps put in some of the pieces to the puzzles. I like this and i am glad that they decided to publish this for everyone outside of the collector's edition they bundl When i first bought the game i was a bit confused as to what was going on until it picked up a bit and i was starting to understand. Not the worst manga I've ever read, but not the best either. The characters are wonderful and I think a lot more could be done with them. The story itself seemed hollow and a bit rushed. I think if the time had been taken and maybe a few more volumes were created, it could have turned out quite nicely. My only real complaint was the art flow. Sometimes it was hard to figure out what was happening or that the areas had changed (especially early in the book). Still, worth a read at least once. It wants to be Final Fantasy VIII with the memories and the school cadets, VII with the fighting back against a big bad Empire like force and it does none of it well. Especially wearing mini-skirts in battle? Simple fetish fuel for otaku, and thus I can't take it seriously. Also uses gendered slurs to make a point and that's a big no-no in my book. This manga has wrote me off the game. hmmm it was okay. A cool collector's item that came a long with the limited edition of Final Fantasy Type O HD remaster. It clearly is just a companion and side story. Nothing really important aside from intoducing the characters. It was confusing for me but maybe because I still need to play the game to understand it. hmmm it was okay. I've played through half of the game, and my conclusion is this must be the retelling of the prelude scenario... I think? Story and character development is very light, to the point in which it's hard to follow, but the art is good.
