What if harem-manga-mixed-with-D&D-stats, but EVEN MORE SO? More Dungeon-delving. More mysterious possible shapeshifters. More mysterious people demanding money. More completely pointless and anatomically inaccurate bath scenes. More boobs. More monsters.

The harem aspect of the story has taken some strange turns with this volume, with the introduction of a mysterious new character who has become the hireling/assistant of Bell. There are already several mysteries about that character and the Familia with the desperate need for money, so I'm hoping those are developed in the next few volumes. Even the other goddesses think that Bell's cute, so it's no surprise that mortal women keep flirting with him. I want to find out more about the real back stor The harem aspect of the story has taken some strange turns with this volume, with the introduction of a mysterious new character who has become the hireling/assistant of Bell. This is such an interesting story. I'm really enjoying it. I don't usually go for dungeon stories. However, the art of the covers caught my eye. So I read the synopsis & decided to give it a read. I'm glad I did. It seems this is headed towards being a harem story, however. I'm totally fine with that. Some of you fantasy lovers may object, though. Art, rather good. I really like this artist's style. Dialogue, excellent. Such interesting things going on. Characters, likeable, entertaining, interes This is such an interesting story. I'm really enjoying it. This was a great volume! It really focused on the main character getting someone to help him in the dungeon gathering loot so he can focus on combat. It also explored her character and showed that she may have ulterior motives, yet she also seems to be dedicated to him as well. Check it out!

But the reason I say this is because they highlight the fact that all these different women want Bell-Kun. Especially his Goddess, Hestia, Freya, and a few other women. So this volume really focuses on Bell-Kun going into the dungeon, with his new hired supporter Lily, of the Soma famila. I think there's something fishy with Lily... We obviously know that she tried to steal Bell-Kun's specially made knife and tried to sell it. I think she's got some sort of ability to be able to trick people into thinking that she looks different. Because there was that part when Lyu, a waitress who works at The Benevolent Mistress and associate of Bell-Kun, retrieved the knife from Lily. But then she thought the thief was a male. She does mention that she does have a little magic, and maybe her skill is illusion. Again, I'm really liking this series so far. I think at the current moment there are 4 volumes out of the manga and for the novel. I also read in the third volume of the manga that they are releasing an anime. I don't think it's come to the U.S but when it does, I will be watching it!

The series has slowed down into something depressing, and that I'd hoped it would avoid: it's pretty much a Manga Harem book now. There are still a few characters whose reasons to like Bell are so unclear that they are ripe for subversion, but this volume is just slugging and full of people not confessing their feelings while not doing much else. It's also got at least triple the fan service I'm used to, including a pointless bath house scene. Much as I love the world and premise, it'll probably be a while before I pick up the fourth volume.

And the story remains strong! The world is being built at a steady pace and the characters are growing right alongside it! Bell is really coming into his own, but I think he still has a lot of growing left. I'm glad his goddess got to be a major player in the 2nd half, and I really still can't wait to see where the story goes. Might have to pick up light novels, as I think those are coming out faster! Great adaptation so far. Closer to the light novel and not the anime in that it doesn't leave out a lot of info as the anime adaptation does. I like the short stories at the end of these volumes (the second and this third one, I think). Great adaptation so far.
