4 STARS!! From Japanese version. So... this new world is a alternate, huh? Kii Kogami and others managed to survive the last apocalypse with 'killing' Tsukune. The world without magical girl. Everything seems so normal when they continued their usual life. Back to school. Back to work. Back to reality. The world where Tsukune died in a accident. Yeah, we all know Tsukune or "Asuka" who created the magical girl so if in this world she died, there is no magical girl and apocalypse, right? There is a 4 STARS!! From Japanese version. So who's started in the future? Now, Kii Kogami and others are trying to figure out. All the survivor left from rooftop accident still remember all the tragedy. I still couldn't process the whole witchy things. I thought they're alien or some experiment? So, the whole thing started from a human made pact with demon. Now we have the answer about the power of magical girl but it left another questions in the future. We'll see then.

I liked the parallel universe jump and Miu's story, but things are starting to get a little too complicated, I think. I fear this series may have jumped the shark. We'll see. Hat mich leider nicht mehr so Kopf gefickt wie die letzten beiden Bände, dafür war der Cliffhanger um so gemeiner xD und es gab schon viele wtf Momente xD xD xD

Kii and friends wake up in a parallel world where there were no magical girls, but then they start showing up. This volume was another confusing one - parallel world, time travel, unseen causes of the whole thing, and ...witches? Ok, witches. Why not. I want to see this through to the end but hope the plot settles down a bit into something that's developed instead of dumped (through time travel) and then restarted. Vol. 4-6: It has gotten mildly more interesting at this point, but still mostly dull. And now there's less gore and more predictable plot stuff. Three more volumes to go then I'll be caught up to the English translations, then I'll likely forget this manga ever existed. This is insane. And too good. I need an anime of this. Wanna see it in action. Who is with me on this? This deserves an anime.

Read #13 of 2018. 3.5/5 Stars. I am worrying that this will be the last good volume in the series. I did enjoy it, although not as much as most of the previous. The story seems to be getting a lot more complicated, unfortunately.

I thought time travel was a one time thing in this series but it now seems to be the crux of everything. The possibility of creating alternate dimensions with better condidtions takes away a lot of suspense.

I would almost recommend skipping the block of text on the first page after the recap of the last volume; there's a lot of plot development in this installment of the series, and for some reason Sato (or the editors) decided to dump a bunch of it on the reader, right off the bat. It's doubly weird, because everything on that page is revealed in a much more natural fashion later in this volume. Now that that's out of the way, man there's a lot that happens in this book. Without getting into spoile I would almost recommend skipping the block of text on the first page after the recap of the last volume; there's a lot of plot development in this installment of the series, and for some reason Sato (or the editors) decided to dump a bunch of it on the reader, right off the bat. It's doubly weird, because everything on that page is revealed in a much more natural fashion later in this volume. Now that that's out of the way, man there's a lot that happens in this book. Without getting into spoilers, we get more time travel, we see a bit more of the true villain, who was revealed at the end of volume 5, characters switch sides, people die--or do they?, and we finally get a more solid explanation for what magical girls really are. So much is packed in to volume 6 of Magical Girl Apocalypse, that it can almost be a bit overwhelming at times. However, the plot remains strange enough that it had no trouble holding my interest. And for all the answers and hints that we get here, there are still a good number of unanswered questions by the end, as well as what seems to be the promise of a knock-down, drag-out confrontation on the horizon. Magical Girl Apocalypse as a whole remains bizarrely intriguing to me. It's a series that could easily have ended up being little more than a puerile gore-fest *cough*TerraFormars*cough* but manages to actually create an engaging story populated with characters that run the gamut from sympathetic to loathsome, but who are always engaging. Volume 6 changes the pacing and tone a bit, but opens up new possibilities in the process. All in all, it remains a worthwhile read.

This volume had a lot of answers to long running series questions, but it presented them in a tell, not show manner. All in all it wasn't as thrilling or interesting as the past volumes. I'll keep reading based on how stellar the previous books were, I hope the series gets back to its usual standards.
