    Fantastic little book that provides tips and recipes in a variety of categories including detox, health, and anti-agining. The recipes are simple, require few ingredients, and most importantly, sound delicious! I am looking forward to trying as many as possible!

I responded to their request for edits, so I won't go into detail now about the need for proofreading. I gave this book 4 stars primarily for the quality, variety, and organization of the recipes. This collection includes something to suit all tastes, and isn't full of exotic or hard-to-find ingredients. I'm not sure it's possible to create an original book on smoothies nowadays. I received this book in a Goodreads giveaway. I'd like to thank the author for taking the time to personally sign it. I responded to their request for edits, so I won't go into detail now about the need for proofreading. I gave this book 4 stars primarily for the quality, variety, and organization of the recipes. This collection includes something to suit all tastes, and isn't full of exotic or hard-to-find ingredients. I'm not sure it's possible to create an original book on smoothies nowadays. There are only so many palatable variations on combining fruits and vegetables in liquid form, and most of them can be found for free online. What may distinguish this book is the author goes beyond simply providing recipes and includes a blurb for each one describing what the specific ingredients bring to the party beyond flavor -- nutritional information and targeted health benefits -- and the recipes are further arranged into sections based on those benefits (energy-boosting, immune system-boosting, constipation, weight loss, etc). Some of the descriptions, however, are somewhat inarticulate, and make claims that are unlikely, confusing, and oddly worded, so aren't very helpful. ("it will remind you of your youth and give you the same amount of energy you had back then." The same amount specifically? Back when exactly, since the amount is so precise? Strange, and meaningless.) ("will get your blood pumping in the right direction." What? Can it be pumped in the wrong direction? Will my arteries become veins and vice versa without pomegranate juice? Another bizarrely meaningless statement.) The first 30 pages or so has info relating to beginner smoothie-making, such as how to store them and which fruits or veggies can be used frozen. Also included is a detailed instruction on use and care of the Nutri Ninja. I don't own one, but use the recipes in my Vitamix, and believe any blender with a high-powered motor can handle these smoothies. Overall I like this book for its good recipes. I could see this book being included in the box with the Nutri Ninja, and I think the author may have had this in mind because a lot of it reads more like marketing/PR than fact. I find the superficial treatment and lack of precision of the text a little annoying, but it's not a dealbreaker in a recipe book.

    Better than others The recipes are good, and I like that they are separated into chapters according to the benefits of health. I also enjoyed the blurbs she included about each one. There are a number of typos and a few ingredients mentioned in the blurbs that are not in the recipe. However, I like this book much more than others if you are using the Nutri Ninja Auto IQ. I recommend this recipe book.
