I loved these books! The author said at the end of "Forsaken " that she loves these characters and that she may one day revisit them. I would love that!!!! I have not enjoyed a series of books as much as I have enjoyed these in a long time!!!

The big ones were there so many typos in various chapters as well as a few spelling mistakes here and there which made me wonder if this book was properly edited at all. The other is with the story. Here's the thing; it seems she was kind of a jerk before she became evil. I found that I didn't really like her at all when she was "kind of good" and it seemed like Eddy loved her a lot more than she loved him. I found her stupidity aggravating because she didn't really question the main villain's actions hard enough and came to trust him way too easily. And then she lies to everyone who ever cared about her and on top of it kills some of them and hides it. And STILL she keeps being this deliberately obtuse, annoying, spoiled brat. By the end of the book I pretty much hated her and feel she serves no purpose whatsoever. She was shown the truth and still she acts like this gigantic jerk and all I could think is why is she so dumb? I liked the book, but I feel it wasn't as good as the previous ones and Juliska Blackwell is a huge part of why. I couldn't even feel sorry for her because she was just so unlikable for me. I'm also disappointed that there's no mention of any of the main story at all and you only see Meghan at the very end. This book was good, but not great.

How did Juliska Blackwell become some a vindictive, hateful person? This book tells the story of what happened when she was kidnapped by Jurekai Fazendiin and how Juliska became the person we know today. Good story full of so many surprises! I always appreciate when an author fills in the backstory of an important character and this book did a great job of doing so. The question that I was left with is there any hope for Juliska? Most people have hope and want to think people can change. This wa How did Juliska Blackwell become some a vindictive, hateful person? If you haven’t read the other books in the series you could read this one first but I would start at the beginning. Happy Reading!

I love the peek into the past. It was very interesting to see how Fazendiin manipulated people and events to create the three immortal children. I feel bad for both Isabella & Juliska as they both had to lose a child for the prophecy to come true. They both reacted in different ways though and that shows their true character. I can't wait to read book 9 and see what happens as the Meghan, Colin & Colby follow their fate. I love the peek into the past. Holy hell! Amazing! I kinda feel sorry for Juliska now and don't see her as completely evil. She still has time...for redemption!

I liked the story and I'm waiting to see how it ends. I just wish someone would proofread it before it's published. Way too many grammar mistakes.

This tells the Juliska's story- what happened to make her the way she was. While it answered a lot of questions, I had hoped it would advance the main story.

Love this series I do love this series. Yes it has a combination of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, but only in subject not in story. The story is excellent, however the gramatical and spelling errors throughout the series will grate on those with an eye for correct English. It did not put me off though. There is a slight lull in tempo around book 7 but it picks up well as it gets into book 8. I sometimes have to read back a few pages because some points get a little lost in a long explanation and some explanations do get repeated somewhat unnecessarily. This author does all of the work from writing through to publishing herself, yep, Humphrey Quinn is a woman, and she really could do with a good proof reader. That said don't let any of the above put you off. It is a brilliantly put together story. I have not yet read the ending, part of me doesn't want it to end. Then another part of me can't wait to get there. For me that is the essence of a great book, or series. I would love to see this as a film, providing they didn't change and leave out as much as they did with Harry Potter. My reccomendation.... read it ! You won't be disappointed if this is your kind of genre.

This is all about Juliska and what she went through and how and why she is the way she is. This was a much better read, along with each book seems to be sucking me in more and more.
