When a near dead pregnant horse shows up in the pasture, they try to save them. The men are appalled at her injuries. Ryan names her Maggie and she responds to him, because he seems to have a way with animals, they like him. The novella moves super quickly and is a fast read. It's an unlikely scenario, but a great short story, with action, deep thoughts, and BDSM, hot sex. Great characters, and well written. ENJOY ! ==============================

This one worked out a lot better for me than it probably should have. Accident-prone Ryan is kind of cute, in a hair-raising way. I guess he won me over when he kept being distracted by pretty colours. There’s just something appealing about that. I also liked his general acceptance of things. It’s hard to explain. A character like him can fall flat easily. This version apparently hit my buttons and that’s cool. The rest of the book is rather generic for this author and I don’t even want to go into This one worked out a lot better for me than it probably should have. On the whole, and mostly due to Ryan, this was a pleasant surprise, under the premise that I was not looking for anything deeper than a plate. And ignoring some slight issues with securing proper consent.

Okay this might be one of my favorites of this series. I enjoyed getting to know Ryan, and I loved that he was so clumsy, it made the story so much more light hearted. And it took a special kind of man, Callum, to fall in love with Ryan and all his clumsy quirks. They were so loving but yet funny as hell as a couple.
