Posey is an appealing character with realistic fears, but with the help of her supportive family and friends, she is able to confront them. The pictures are fun and full of personality. Weaknesses: If Posey didn't have that tutu on, I think that boys would pick up this series as well, and learn a lot from it. And Posey doesn't even wear the tutu in all of the interior pictures. Frustrating. What I really think: This would be an excellent purchase for an elementary library, but it's clearly too young for middle school.

It was an easy book to read

In Princess Posey and the Crazy, Lazy Vacation, Posey is disappointed that her family is staying home for Spring Break while everyone else seems to be traveling somewhere. It turns out, though, that plenty of exciting things happen at home, including losing a tooth and learning to ride a two-wheeler! Stephanie Greene continues to pinpoint the precise things that matter to first graders and she turns them into thoughtful, comforting stories that show true empathy for the child reader. This is another well-written and engaging story about a very realistic and likable little girl.

My daughter (who is 6) received an advance copy of the newest Princess Posey adventure and reports that she "loved it." She says that it is about Posey's upcoming Spring vacation from school. Posey is afraid that she will be bored during her time off, but quickly finds that vacation life is full of little adventures, from new bikes to tooth loss. This is the second book of the Princess Posey Series my daughter has read and she has enjoyed them both immensely. Like the other books in the series, The Crazy, Lazy Vacation is geared towards First Grade readers. It is a nice blend of text & small illustrations. My daughter devoured it in 2 or 3 sittings. She is already looking forward to Posey's next chapter, The First Grade Play.

It's cute how Stephanie Greene makes everything seem like puppies and kitties and roses and sunshine. It's a very refreshing take on life as a first grader and my first grader LOVES Posey's antics. In the newest book in this series, Posey finds herself facing a very boring-sounding spring break that turns into an exhilarating adventure. In this 10th book in the Princess Posey series, precocious first-grader Posey is worried that her stay-at-home spring break will be boring. Luckily, Posey soon learns that staying home doesn't mean missing out on the fun! Cute series about first grader Posey and her friends. Great for transitioning readers but some vocabulary a bit advanced for the intended age group to be able to read aloud on their own.

Posey isn't sure a staycation will be exhilarating, but she and her family manage to find plenty to keep busy and interested. Posey isn't sure a staycation will be exhilarating, but she and her family manage to find plenty to keep busy and interested.
