Thank you Jewel Quinlan and Goodreads! I won this book in a recent giveaway. This was an interesting book. I liked the premise of Cupid/Eros leaving Mount Olympus to live on Earth with mere mortals. She and her aunt and cousin will be helping with the planning of the party. Raine caught her long time boyfriend cheating on her. Needless to say, she is a wreck and the nice gentleman, Alexander that sits next to her on the plane, feels sorry for her. ... And the story begins ... It really is a cute story about a woman that tends to "see the world through rose colored glasses"; but, she is also grounded in reality. What could be construed as naivety or innocence shows itself to be so much more as the story progresses. I enjoyed the play of the characters and watching them grow throughout the story. This was quite different from my expectations. I liked the writing style and the overall story. There were more than a few typos throughout the story; but it didn't detract too much from the flow.

This book was really fun! I enjoyed the lead characters and several of the elements that made this special. Raine still believes in the power of love, even after being dumped and with the possibility that her parents’ 40 year marriage will implode. Alexander (Cupid) is jaded and heart-hurt. Raine’s good intentions end up with disastrous results after she steals Cupid’s bow (not a spoiler since it’s the title!). I liked things in here, such as an explanation for why Cupid might be living in modern Las Vegas and the reason for all the quickie celebrity marriages. So many fun, small details made this story work. If there were sequels, I’d definitely be up for listening to them. The narrator has a warm voice that did well with romance. I’d definitely listen to him again. Good book. Recommended for those who want quick reads/listens. For romance readers who enjoy twists on the ancient gods. 3.5 stars. In Stealing Cupid's Bow, we learn that Cupid exists and living in Las Vegas. Yes, Cupid lives in Sin City. It's pretty fitting, really. Where else should the God of Love live but in the city with the highest rate of quickie marriages? Raine is a twenty-something young woman whose boyfriend has fallen in love with another woman-a woman he was cheating with for months. Raine is devastated, but she doesn't have a heck of a lot of time to dwell on it because she's off to Las Vegas for her 3.5 stars. Raine is devastated, but she doesn't have a heck of a lot of time to dwell on it because she's off to Las Vegas for her parents' 40th wedding anniversary. When she gets there, she finds out that they are about to separate. Oh, and she met Cupid on the plane, though he lives as a mortal and goes by Alexander now. There's a lot to like about this story. Alexander is suitably alpha male but also has a very strong considerate side. He's a God who has sworn off love, despite his unique powers and job. He can make people fall in love, but he doesn't believe the love will last and he's really gotten "out of the game" so to speak. Raine believes in love, despite her cheating boyfriend and her separating parents. My biggest issue with this book was that it was too short. I felt like there were so many places the book could have gone if it had an additional hundred pages. While the plotlines were largely resolved, there were a couple of questions I had at the end of it that would have been perfect for an epilogue or even another chapter. That said, it's a quick and very satisfying read, so I won't hesitate to recommend it. ***This review originally appeared on Author Alliance.***

This was cute and easy. Guy and girl hook up. Guy is cupid aka Eros god of love (didn't know cupid originally came from Greek mythology. Crazy) girl "borrows" the bow, chaos ensues. But happy endings all round. There was a couple things I wish were fleshed out a bit more like why she could see him when others couldn't and the homeless guy and stuff like that. But bonus points about the MC being so not phased she hooked up with an immortal god. I respect that. I received this audiobook in exchang This was cute and easy. Guy and girl hook up. He has a great speaking voice, but not a storytelling one. He didn’t change his voice or soften it at all for the characters, so they all sounded the same. That made me sad. Because of this, there were many times throughout the story that I had a hard time focusing because I wasn’t sure who was speaking. Looking at other reviews on Audible in relation to the narrator's skills, I'm surprised he got such high ratings. I lis I had high hopes with this story after first hearing the narrator’s voice. Looking at other reviews on Audible in relation to the narrator's skills, I'm surprised he got such high ratings. I listen to a lot of audiobooks and while, again, he has a nice speaking voice (maybe for a sci-fi story), it didn't feel right for a romance. Thankfully, the story itself was able to come through and keep me entertained. I liked this one. The characters weren’t too over the top. When Raine went around shooting everyone, I was left feeling annoyed by her. Like she was making me angry because she was acting so reckless and stupid. LOL But isn’t that what authors hope for? To bring out the emotions in readers? Well, that worked. I think the biggest issue I had with this story was the insta-love. I’m not a fan of insta-love. Alexander and Raine had only spent a small amount of time together, yet at the end, Raine is in love with him. I was left under the impression the reason he got involved to separate Raine from her cheating boyfriend was because somehow Raine was Alexander’s soulmate. Right? But still, the insta-love didn’t work for me especially when Raine is thinking of how much she loves Alexander, it’s all in relation to him touching her, making her feel physically good. Questions/Comments: I did find a few mistakes in the story, for example, “Are you serious?” Raine echoes. (She wasn’t echoing anything.) Or, I’m not sure if it was a misspelling or mispronunciation, but the narrator uses the word “shubs” (is that a word?) instead of “shrubs.” Raine had already seen Alexander shoot a couple with his bow and arrow. So, why when he brought her to his room, to meet Cupid, did she act surprised that it was Alexander? I felt like the author might have dragged that scene out a bit much. It would have been one thing had Raine not seen Alexander do anything questionable… Raine had morning breath! Hallelujah! Finally, here’s that one-out-of-a-billion authors who is realistic when characters wake up. No one wakes up with nice, minty, fresh breath! I was surprised that Raine’s parents went to the party given they were no longer even on friendly terms. Was anyone else surprised? Like neither Raine nor Alexander even had the thought pop into their minds prior to leaving for the party. I received a free audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Stealing Cupid's Bow is a sweet, fun, and beautiful Paranormal Romance. Alexander and Raine are great characters. I loved it! Josh Goodman did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed it!
