It is always multiple parts and different for each author, but Jessie’s are usually 4 parts. This is the first part of Arabella’s story, and you need to read all of the parts in order to understand what is going on. While you do not have to read the other two sets to understand the story, I highly recommend you do because you will miss out by skipping them. That being said, this serial is NOT complete yet meaning it is like a cliffhanger at the end of each part. This serial is about Dragon shifters, and for anyone who does not know what a shifter is (yes I found out some people do not know), they are people who change into another creature like a werewolf but could be anything like a wolf, tiger, shark, or bird, but in this series they change into dragons :) This story is about Finlay Steward and Arabella MacLeod. If you read the other sets, we could see the story coming and for me, I couldn’t wait to read it. Ara has such strength that I have loved her for a while for her spirit and strength even though she doesn’t realize she has it. Wow, Jessie does not disappoint as usual. She always does a fantastic job sucking me into her stories where I can’t put it down. I was floored and screaming when it ended because I was not paying attention to the percent read because I was so pulled into the story, and it was over before I realized it. I do have to say that this one is going to be the hardest to wait for the next part. I highly recommend reading all of Jessie’s Stonefire Dragon series, but if you do not like cliffhangers or waiting for the next part, you may want to wait on reading it until the serial is complete so you can start with the first two serial sets which I loved :)

OMG, Arabella's story is awesome! Arabella finally gets to leave Stonefire Clan to try and get some much needed independence. Her brother Tristan and his mate Melanie mean well, but she feels smothered. So she is going to Finn's Clan in Scotland to try to spread her wings. It's a battle of wits between the two, who will come out the winner, their dragons, or them? I can't wait for book 2 to see what happened when they stepped out of Aunt Lorna's house. I am absolutely hooked in these Dragons I was gifted this book for an honest review.

This was a short ebook, just 50 pages. While I enjoyed it, it was just an installment, and ended in a cliffhanger! This story was from the start that we first met Ara and then Finn to be explosive and i can tell you it doesn't dissappoint at all! Both characters are as always strong and with humour and sass and explosive energy surrounding them! The back and forth between Finn and Ara will have you smiling and laughing and growling all the way to the last page! An amazing story that when it reaches its end will have you begging for the next book to come out soon! If you haven't read this series DO! A freaking must must must must must must must read!!!!

The story is exciting, original, imaginative, thrilling, spellbinding, riveting, charming, humorous, heartwarming, romantic and seductive. The dialogue is smart, snappy, light, well written, hilarious and flows effortlessly. The characters are fascination, captivating, intriguing, engaging, endearing, sexy and at times, laugh out light funny. Donovan has taken these elements and expertly crafted them into a very entertaining and satisfying read. Finlay Stewart may have been clan leader of Lochguard for only a year but he's darn tired of doing the mountain of paperwork that comes with the job. He's also tired of waiting for the minutes to slowly tick by while he anxiously awaits the arrival of the lovely Arabella MacLeod from clan Stonefire. Ever since he met the stubborn, shy lass six months ago, has has thought of her constantly. He had finally been successful in convincing her to foster with clan Lochguard and Bram Moore-Llewellyn, clan leader of Stonefire, has finally agreed for Arabella to come. He only wished he had been as successful at convincing him to plan more attacks on the dragon hunters, afterall they were the ones responsible for the scars on Arabella, physical and emotional. But it's been only two months since the attacks on the offices of the Department of Dragon Affairs and they have only now started handing out visitation passes for humans. They need public opinion on their side and Bram doesn't want to do anything to interfere. Still, the dragon hunters had set Arabella on fire and they needed to pay! He may not be able to plan an attack but he could and would ensure her safety while she's on his land even if he has to fight his own clan. Several members of his clan object to her presence and may try to not only challenge him but hurt him by trying to hurt her. If any of his clan, the dragon hunters or the Dragon Knights mistreat or try to harm his Arabella, they will have to deal with the wrath of his golden dragon. He wants her to feel safe because he and his dragon want her to remain much longer than the 6 month fostering program. He just plain wants her - he and his dragon, and he means to have her! She is his! Huh? Now all he has to do is protect her from his enemies in the clan, protect her from the dragon hunters and Dragon Knights, keep her away from all the other males including his cousins, Fraser and Fergus and last but not least, convince her that she is meant to be his. Oh my! What a to do list! I fear Finn may have a tiger by the tail or should I say dragonwoman by the tail.... Arabella just wants to put her nightmares in the past and she's hoping this will be the fresh start she needs. Despite her best efforts and all her hard work training with her brother, Tristan, she still is unable to trust her inner beast enough to shift into her dragon form. Being unable to shift almost cost her this fostering position. Every dragon shifter speaks of their inner beast as a life long friend and she wants that too but Arabella has been pushing her dragon away for 10 years and now she's not sure if it will ever happen. But she has to be careful - she can't let the cocky, flirtacious clan leader, Finlay Steward ruin her first taste of freedom in 10 years. He's nothing but trouble and she's not about to fall for his tricks. She will just avoid him! Or will she??? Oh my goodness! Let the games begin! Sexy, charming dragonmen-check! Beautiful stubborn dragonwoman-check! Danger, suspense, heinous enemies and drama-check! Romance, heated attraction, fated love and some paranormal angst, dragon style-you betcha! That and a whole lot more! And who doesn't love sexy dragons, right??? I can hardly wait for Part Two! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

Another Five Star read. Finlay Stewart and Arabella MacLeod’s story is told in Jessie Donovan’s Healed by the Dragon, Part One. We have been waiting for this story to be told since Finn and Ara first met during his visit to the Stonefire Clan in Northern England. Finn’s visit was to secure an alliance between the two clans. He discovered more than he anticipated at Stonefire. The electricity was evident in Finn and Ara’s first meeting, to their dragons that is, if not to themselves. Arabella has been contemplating fostering with the Lochguard clan, but it was not until she appeared in a BBC interview that Bram, her clan leader approved. Both Ara and Finn have secrets from their pasts that need to be told to secure their future together. The Lochguard Clan is divided on Arabella staying on their dragon-shifter land. Is there danger for Ara inside the clan or is it from outside? They also have a group who would challenge Finlay Stewart for leadership of the Clan. Will Arabella heal the decade old mental scars so that she and her dragon can fly? Will she listen to her dragon who seems to think she know what Arabella needs? For that matter, if the story were left to the dragons, the telling would be short and HOT. Both Finlay and Arabella’s dragons seem to know a lot more than they are willing to tell. Will Finn tell Ara what the significance of the heather he pinned to her blouse? Jessie Donovan has created a world of dragon-shifters that are trying to co-exist with humans. She has created a world with the greed, evil and prejudice that seems to be prevalent in ours today. She also has found the spirit of generosity and love that so many are willing to share. It is best to start at the beginning of the series with Sacrificed to the Dragon to understand the people, the dragons and the events that lead to this most recent release Healed by the Dragon. Thank you so much Jessie for Healed by the Dragon, Part One, I can’t wait for Part Two.

I love all the sneak peaks into the old dragon language as well as into their modern day culture and practices. Donovan brings her readers deep into this fantastic world, allowing them access to it on many levels. The way that the dragonshifters refer to each other as ‘male’ and ‘female’ is endearing and really sets them apart from humans. Donovan is one of the few authors who can actually get me to pick up and read a serial. She uses the format well, bringing more to the story with each instalment. There is also a sense of inevitability at the end of this segment. It’s like a mini conclusion. Fin and Ara were great together. The battle of wills between the two was pricelessly comical. I loved getting to know them as individuals. Seeing Ara become more like her old self was fantastic. Hearing the full truth about her past was heartbreaking, but it really makes you realise how strong an individual Ara really is. Fin is a definite Alpha male with a capital ‘A’. He’s even more appealing now that he’s being his true self, as opposed to the supped up individual that he pretended to be in previous novels in the series. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

One of the best things about this series are the colorful characters. Healed by the Dragon: Part One starts a new story arc about Arabella, Tristian's sister. Melanie, Tristian's mate blows in like a tornado and Arabella's life is never the same. We see more of her in each story, even in Bram's story arc and it is hard not to love her. She has been through so much and is slowly but surely coming out of it, scarred but stronger. As we see her more in each book we even begin to forget she is scarred until the story misses it. The great thing about the way this is written is that she doesn't just fall into a relationship and get instantly healed. She comes along across each story as months go by and she heals a bit each time. There are relapses and triumphs and we get to see it happen. Another think I am enjoying is watching Arabella build friendships as she goes along. We find out how long she has been isolated and we start hearing her side of the attack that she was subjected to along with her mom. One funny thing happened when I was reading this story. When Finn was talking to his dragon and the dragon spoke explicitly I thought I wonder if any of the dragons are nerds. What would a nerd dragon who is still an alpha personality sound like when he found his mate. That would be great to see and I'm betting it would be quite hilarious.

Finn is more attracted than he wants anyone to know and as Arabella meets his family he finds himself becoming more and more possessive. His dragon is insisting that she is their mate. The story ends with Finn asking her to kiss him, because as you know a dragon knows their mate by their kiss. Will Arabella kiss him or chicken out and continue to run? I can't wait for the next book to see where this leads for Arabella. She deserves to be happy. This is not a standalone book but it is well worth reading Ms Donovan's books, as her dragons are a breed of their own and her talented writing brings them to life. This is a really good series. I want my own dragon!

Book four of the Stonefire Clan series. Arabella is to be the first foster dragon between Stonefire and Lochguard clan. Finn has been desperate to get Arabella on his land since last meeting her in previous book. Even though Finn doesn't have a mum and dad he has Auntie Lorna who is more a mother figure and cousins who are more brothers and sister. Really enjoying how to book are professing especially with DDA and evil hunter doesn't feel like a already before story. Great HEA and epilogue which I alway like at a end of a book.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review. I have been hanging out for this series since I found out Jessie was writing it. And I was not disappointed. The first part in the series is amazing. Arabella travels to Scotland to stay with Finns clan and help secure they're online systems. At first she is nervous and concerned but Finn and his cousin Faye put her at ease. And her Dragon has started to talk to her bit by bit and it's not scaring her like it used I received an ARC copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review. Arabella acts cowed due to her horrible past that is sure to be told during this series but she has tendencies to show a strong stubborn backbone. Finn is playful but also an alpha male. I can not wait to see how this story plays out. But beware this has a cliffhanger that had me scream at my iPad in dismay. I want more and I want it NOW!!! Please Jessie, please

Alternate universe, no sex. This is part 1 of Arabella & Finn's story. Unfortunately, only 7 very short chapters. Ara has agreed to be the dragonwoman chosen to foster at Finn's clan in Scotland. She has a tragic back story, which has been revealed in the past books. It's touched on again in this story. She's communicating more with her dragon, which hasn't happened in a long time. Ara is still traumatized by what happened at the hands of the dragon hunters long ago, so it's not something that's going to proceed quickly. Decide if you want to invest in this story, since it looks like we're not going to get progression quickly.

Yay!!! Arabella finally gets her story!! After going through so much in her young life she is starting to heal. Her first act is to be fostered by another clan. Finn is the clan leader in Scotland and every since he meet Arabella he has wanted not only to help her but also to love her. Finn wants Arabella but he knows he must be patient and he knows that the only way is to get her away from her clan and let her experience new things away from their watchful eyes. These stories are getting better and better and each ends in a cliffhanger, but this one was awesome and I can't wait for the next one!!! I received a copy of this book for a honest review

another great part of this series but really really annoyed me its been put out in 2 parts , wasnt even half a book in the 1st place . good book ruined by being split , not sure i'll be buying more of this series for that reason , basically arabella was tortured & burnt by dragon hunters when she was a teenager , she also had to watch her mother die at the hands of same killers . after secluding herself for years her brothers mate convinces her to start living again . to get some freedom away fr another great part of this series but really really annoyed me its been put out in 2 parts , wasnt even half a book in the 1st place . good book ruined by being split , not sure i'll be buying more of this series for that reason , basically arabella was tortured & burnt by dragon hunters when she was a teenager , she also had to watch her mother die at the hands of same killers . after secluding herself for years her brothers mate convinces her to start living again . to get some freedom away from her over protective brother she joins a scottish clan of dragon shifters & finds herself drawn to the clan leader finaly , things just start getting interesting when you get told to wait for part 2 , also just found out book is in 3 parts & there is seriously not enough content to justify this

Arabella McLeod (Ara ) is finally going to Lochguard , to work for Finlay Stewart (Finn ) for 6 months. Ara's dragon just started talking to her again, telling her this the right move. Plus it helped that she and her Dragon were attracted to Finn too. Arabella knew when Finn held her she felt safe , now she knew she was in trouble. Jessie Donovan has out done herself again. I was gifted this book from the author for an honest review. And I have to say I absolutely love this book. Finn and Arabella make this story come alive. The dynamic between the two is great and the author really knows how to make your imagination soar. This story is about Finn who is the leader of Lochguard and Arabella who is fostering with the Lochguard clan and how they interact with each other. Finn knows Arabella is his mate but she is not sure about Finn. If you like paranormal romance you I was gifted this book from the author for an honest review. Like everyone else I had been waiting for Arabella and Finn's book to come out. :D It was a great read and by far the best of Jessie's dragon shifter books. It ended with a cliffhanger that will have you jumping up and down for the rest of the books, so unless you have the ability to not drive yourself mad wanting to know what's going to happen next, I would suggest you wait until the other three parts are published. I'm all antsy waiting and will definitely read the next one the second it's out Like everyone else I had been waiting for Arabella and Finn's book to come out. :D It was a great read and by far the best of Jessie's dragon shifter books.
