This is very difficult book to categorize or even describe. The short version is it is a collection of modern stories turned into dark fairy tales for the awake. But really it is so much more. It is a biting criticism of modern politics, the 1%, banksters, the media and modern culture. In some of the stories it is very obvious as to who or what is being lampooned; others I was lost. I liked the book, plan to read the sequel but I am hesitant to recommend it.

Mr. Hennerley brings us a very different take on olden fairy tales, told in a mythical land of Anywhere. These are cautionary tales, meant for modern readers as well, and told from an interesting point of view. Mr. Hennerley captured the essence of the fairy tale genre, while bringing to light modern matters. It is a most interesting read. By far, my favorite is a bonus tale, at the end, of the Dachshund and Hitler. Now THAT'S a story! Funny, twisted, yet unsatifying The concept is great. The stories imaginative but needs more work. The potential is there. The talent evident still I hoped for more

Started off very cleverly but I found it a bit too dark and cynical. Did not get past first four cables.

Kind of an adult fairy tale book of stories. Not bad.
