A great collection of brunch recipes from Bobby Flay! I have made recipes by him before & I've eaten at a few if his restaurants so I guess you can say I am a fan of his, but even with that I can honestly say some of these recipes seem complicated or very time consuming. I may revisit those tasty recipes when i have more time, but for now I am researching for a brinner themed dinner party for 10 so I'm mainly interested in easy, quick and prepare ahead recipes. I love how the cookbook is broken up into easy & manageable sections. There are wonderfully simple ideas that can step up any brunch- like the Spreads & Syrups section that anyone can do to take butters, jams & sauces to the next level to make a simple pancake breakfast seem extraordinary & fancy. The beverage section has a great variety of options for both alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks, and the in back of the book are menu suggestions pairing different recipes in the book for flavor or regionally themed brunches. I will definitely be trying a few of these recipes!

‘Brunch at Bobby's’ by Bobby Flay, US celebrity chef, Stephanie Banyas and Sally Jackson is kind of book I have long sought. On its 250 pages the authors managed to present some fantastic ideas – most brand new and some of them known to Cooking Channel fans. The book is divided into eight chapters: 1. Coffee, Tea and Cocktails 2. Spreads and Syrups 3. Pancakes, Waffles and French Toast 4. Egg Meals 5. Pastries and Breads 6. Sandwiches 7. Fruit Meals and Salads 8. Savory Side Dishes Due to changes in my diet few years ago, for some time I had to take special care of what I’m eating. With this book I managed to find out about some great dishes that are in same time easy to prepare, healthy and looking great. What more can you need? The book provides almost 150 recipes that are accompanied with beautiful illustrations and instructions that are simple and clear, therefore easy to follow. There are no special exotic ingredients, you will find all the stuff in your local shop – all you need is little creativity and it seems authors have and offered plenty of it. So far I tried Tropical Fruit Salad, Oatmeal Cookie Pancakes and Orange French Yogurt Cake – all three were easy to prepare and delicious to taste. Taking into consideration number of recipes I am sure I will not run out of good ideas for brunch. Overall - beautiful illustrations, handful of ideas, ordinary ingredients and a lot of creativity – these are the qualities that make this book recommended.

Bobby Flay's recipes hold such unique ingredients, for example, dark rum for Bananas Foster French Toast; a Fresno chile for the Tarte Flambe; muscovado sugar; Poblano chiles. I found the recipes fascinating, but some of the ingredients are not available in the common grocery store. Breakfast recipe ingredients should be easy to find as it should be the most carefree and simple meal of the day, n'est-ce pas? Four and a half stars for Brunch at Bobby's: 140 Recipes for the Best Part of the Weekend--and five stars if Mr. Flay deigns to actually stops by the house and join us for brunch. First stop--for fun family and friend catch-up--is likely to be: (1) coffee (duh--morning), (2) tangerine-gin-fizz (or just the juice for those who don't care to imbibe), (3) carrot cake pancakes with maple-cream cheese drizzle, (4) wild mushroom Yukon gold hash, (5) homemade breakfast sausage patties, and (6) fruit salad for dessert. If you need to reach me, I'll be blissed out at the dining room table in a food coma. Can't wait--come on Sunday!

There are some great recipes in this book! I've watched Bobby Flay's Brunch @ Bobby's show for a while, and really wanted this book. It was a gift this Christmas, and I am having a hard time deciding what to make first. Easy to follow directions and beautiful photographs of the finished dishes make it so much fun to read, but also inspire you to get to the kitchen! There are some great recipes in this book! Though I didn't keep any of the recipes, I can't help but wish that I could have someone come make me the entire pancake chapter. Almost everything looks and sounds delicious! Great collection of recipes. Some seem difficult or out of my comfort zone, but what is the point of a cookbook if you already know the recipe?

There are so many rich, flavorful dishes in this book! The Bananas Foster French Toast and Carrot Cake Pancakes were favorites. The Bananas Foster French Toast is a taste of New Orleans, with the banana sauce as the star of the dish. The brioche lends its own subtle sweetness and makes a difference over plain, white bread. I replaced the Muscovado sugar with regular, brown sugar, since I couldn’t find in stores. I also didn’t use the alcohol (rum). Even with changes, the dish was flavorful. The Carrot Cake Pancakes were good, but didn’t taste like carrot cake, as expected. The cream cheese topping added the right amount of sweetness. If you’re in a hurry, beware of the prep time. The batter has to be refrigerated for 30 minutes for flavors to meld. Extra time is also needed for toasted pecans and carrot prep. The savory dishes are also worth trying. I wish they would have included prep and total times for recipes. This book is very visually appealing. It’ll definitely motivate you to cook! You’ll probably want to make all dishes at once, because they look so good!

Do I REALLY need another cookbook? No, not really...but I am seriously addicted to "collecting" cookbooks. One of the things we like to do at our house is have meals together. With work schedules, this means the only time this happens on week-days is dinner (some of you call it supper). Yet the week-ends are the times when we get to go all out and enjoy meals together. Sunday's are another busy day for us. So when we get home from church, and we have a couple hours before we have to hit the road again, BRUNCH has become our staple. In Brunch @ Bobby's, we are given a fantastic "go to" book for brunch. The book is broken into 8 categories, and each one has some genius ideas. The recipes are easy to follow, don't really take a lot of time, and are things that the entire family can enjoy. For me, I personally enjoy the Coffee recipes in this book. It's nice to find new, easy recipes that mix up the traditional cup of Joe. I got this book for free for this honest review from the Blogging For Books Program

I really liked this book. while I think many of the recipes were too complicated for me ( a novice cooker) I found them very inspiring. While every recipe did not have a picture beside it, there were enough pictures to keep me happy and even a little hungry! I also really loved the ease of the directions. Steps were clearly broken down and in manageable steps. I give this book high raves. I received a copy of this book thorough the blogging for books program in exchange for an honest review.

HUBBA HUBBA!!!!! I love breakfast it is my favorite kind of food to eat. This is one of the best books that I have seen with TONS of awesome recipes. French toast, pancakes, waffles, biscuits, scones, syrups, butters and so much more. I think that I am going to have to go and buy this book. The only thing in this book that I didn't understand was the savory section, but it all still looks delicious. I need this. HUBBA HUBBA!!!!! I love breakfast it is my favorite kind of food to eat. Cookbook club pick. Made copies of a few recipes to try from the potluck. Have made the Shoofly muffins 3 times now to much success. Less luck with the marmalade that never gelled. Portions seem smaller than on the show and there are some inconsistencies in recipes or instructions left out all together. Tasty, but not the best cookbook ever.

I'll be adding this to my Amazon wish list; so many great ideas, such as Almond Croissant French Toast with Almond Butter syrup, Buttermilk-Bourbon Caramel sauce, Texas Eggs Benedict (just typing it is making me hungry) and so many more. It is beautifully photographed, which is probably not at all conducive to weight loss, but certainly leads to some foodie inventiveness. On tv I usually find Bobby Flay to be pretty abrasive, though I do respect him as a chef and enjoy his recipes. Reading his cookbooks and ignoring his persona is the perfect solution! I have a lot of ideas to use for a special occasion brunch in December.

There were a lot of good yummy recipes but some of them were a little time consuming to make and would require going to the store to pick up ingredients as I would not normally have them at home.
