I like the taboo as much as the next pervert reader, but the stepbrother thing doesn't really do it for me. That is, unless Sabrina Paige writes it. A few months ago I read Prick, my first book by her, and I was absolutely hooked. After finishing Tool, I can tell you that this is just one of those guilty pleasures authors for me. Her books are super smutty but with a great story too. Because let's be honest, even us perverts romance connoisseurs want a story to go with our smut. If you haven't yet read Prick, I highly recommend you get right on that. Pun most definitely intended. But if you haven't, no worries, because you can very easily read Tool as a standalone. Now onto the review... Gaige O’Neal is nicknamed "Tool". A very appropriate nickname too, considering what he's packing if you catch my drift. And if you're slow on the uptake, the man has a giant OK? Great! moving on. Delaney has spent four years away at college. Mainly she took the opportunity to run from her feelings for her exasperatingly sexy stepbrother. But now she's back and looking to start working at her father's company, which also lands her on babysitting 'handling' duty with her stepbrother, a professional motorcycle racer. She gets to travel with him to Japan to negotiate the company's sponsorship deal. Too bad that all those feelings she ran from four years ago have not gone away in the least and Gaige is just as determined to get in her pants now as he was then. I didn't come back here to restart something with you, Gaige." "You and I are the fucking definition of unfinished." Now being a HUGE lover of the hate/lust thing, I gobbled this book right up. Delaney and Gaige are absolutely sizzling together. The snark, the banter, the sexual tension. Gaige is a cocky asshole and Delaney is a good girl with no small amount of sass. The sexual tension between them practically sizzles. I thought my ovaries would just about explode until they finally got together. It hurt, I tells ya. But in the most delicious of ways. Now a good 50% of this book is super hawt sex. And you sure as hell won't find me complaining. A lot of times I find that a lot of sex can dilute the story, but that wasn't the case here. While it was super hot and smutty, I was always engaged in the story too. Manwhore- check. Past history with him- check. Professional relationship- check. Stepbrother- double fucking check. It was fantastically smutty! If you're looking for a super hot read and haven't read anything by this author yet, I'm not sure what you're waiting for. Trust me, your ovaries will thank me ;) ARC courtesy of author in exchange for an honest review For more reviews visit

And now, having to spend a lot of time together will that connection surface again, threatening not only their public image, but also their happiness? I’m normally run away from the step-brother genre like the plague. I do believe this is a genre that it’s overdue and it’s either too angsty or too trashy. However, this series are the exception to my rule. They are steamy (but not trashy), they have some drama and angst (but not too much) and they are funny as hell. The author doesn’t take herself too serious and I believe that’s what make her books so enjoyable to read. Her characters are enjoyable and with strong connection and it has enough romance to keep the modern romantics like me on their toes. If you like me, always look suspiciously to this romance genre, give this author a try. You will not regret. Rating: 4 Stars. Characters Development: I liked Delaney and despite being annoyed with her indecision at some moments, she was a nice heroine. I really loved Gaige… more than I was expecting to like him. Yes, he was a self-assured asshole at moments, but he was so funny and so sweet (and sexy!) it was impossible not to like him. I really liked how their relationship evolved, their connection felt real and didn’t send the message that it was only lust between them, as it often happens in a lot of books. Steam: Hot. ** 3,5-4 “#LickMeGaige” STARS ** “You were WILD. I was INNOCENT.” “Not that innocent...” When Delaney Marlowe flies back to Dallas to start her first professional job out of college, working in her father’s company “Marlowe Oil”, she comes nose-to-nose with the last person she'd expect to see there: Gaige O’Neal. The man she last saw 4 years ago, when they were both 18-years-old. The man that was once her best friend, her first love, oh and her step-brother. Till that night... ** 3,5-4 “#LickMeGaige” STARS ** “You were WILD. The man she last saw 4 years ago, when they were both 18-years-old. The man that was once her best friend, her first love, oh and her step-brother. Till that night... “Say it, Delaney. Tell me you’re mine.” Those were the words he had uttered that night 4 years ago. What had started with an innocent stolen kiss, had led to much more, but that night when he told her to meet him in the guesthouse, she never showed up. Gaige O’Neal is a different man now. A famous motorcycle racer, a womanizer, a constant face in the magazines and tabloids. But two things haven't changed about him: He still knows how to use his “Tool” expertly and he still thinks about Delaney Marlowe, the one that got away, everyday... Gaige is back in his mom and stepfather's house to recover from the surgery after the accident that resulted in breaking his tibia and now Delaney is back there, too. What's worse is that Delaney's father, the owner of the team Gaige races for, wants her to BABYSIT him in Japan, where he will be advertising the company. Leaving the past in the past is the smart thing to do for both Gaige and Delaney but how will it be possible with the sparks of attraction still sizzling between them? “Don’t make love to me, Gaige. I don’t want tender. I want you to f*ck me.” “Hell, Delaney. I tell you I love you and you tell me to f*ck you hard.” So why only 3,5 stars? #1 // The gay BFF cliché. ENOUGH ALREADY! Find something different, please. #2 // The excess amount of the word “ darlin’ ”. UGGGGH! #3 // The very anti-climactic ending. I mean...the issue at the end was NOTHING. The way Delaney dramatized the sh*t out of stuff was a bit irritating to me. #4 // The fact that we didn't get to see Gaige, a very famous motorcycle racer, race EVEN ONCE. Dude... I mean I know you were recovering from an accident and all, but we didn't even get a glimpse of your bike. Seriously, what gives? OVERALL: Sabrina Paige is officially on my #OneClickWithoutThought list from now on, because both Tool and Prick were SO MUCH FUN! Aside from the little problems, her books are very entertaining and much better than some other Stepbrother Romance books. Would I recommend it? ** ARC kindly provided by author in return for an honest review **

3.5 stars! If anyone asks me for book recommendation that features step-siblings, hands down, I would recommend Sabrina Paige's Prick and now, Tool: A Stepbrother Romance as must reads in this category. I remembered picking up Prick after a friend read it and reviewed it on Goodreads and cringing a little at the title. Surprise, surprise! I actually enjoyed it very much. I thought she couldn't possibly do it again with another stepbrother book, but again, she surprised me. Tool tells the story of 3.5 stars! I remembered picking up Prick after a friend read it and reviewed it on Goodreads and cringing a little at the title. Surprise, surprise! I actually enjoyed it very much. I thought she couldn't possibly do it again with another stepbrother book, but again, she surprised me. Tool tells the story of Gaige and Delaney. Four years ago, Gaige and Delaney almost gave in to their mutual attraction to each other despite Gaige's mother being married to Delaney's father. Unfortunately, one misunderstanding and Delaney's iffiness towards the fact that they're going to be step siblings put a stop to their budding attraction. After being offered a job at father's company, Delaney decided to move back to her father's estate. Unbeknownst to her, Gaige was also there recuperating after a motorcycle accident. They're older now but their attraction still runs hotter and hot. Unfortunately, it's still as taboo as ever. I quite enjoyed the banter and the humor in Tool. Lot of hot chemistry and double entendre humor that worked really well even with the taboo aspect. And unlike Prick where the step-sibling status was a suspect, here it was very clear that they were step siblings even though they were more or less adults when they met. I liked how Sabrina Paige writes her heroes. They are crass, yes, and have a reputation for being manhos but once they set their eyes on the heroine, they are single-minded in their pursuit, which is quite adorable. While I enjoyed this, there were parts that lagged a bit for me and I didn't quite find it as humorous as the first book. Still very good though. I'll definitely recommend it to readers who are in the mood for some quick, smutty but funny read. ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

There’s a trend I did my best to avoid lately. Seems like every author and their mother are going at great length to publish their own step-siblings taboo smut story.I never noticed this kind of trend before. I mean, why all of the mat the same time? Why the sudden interest into this particular sibling "interdit"? To be honest, I’m not a fan of the idea. Or more precisely I’m not a fan of the constant flow of come hither "incest" under disguise. Except in most of these books, that is no incest that it is about, since most of the time, siblings aren’t blood related at all… But it sure pulls that particular string of "forbidden" romance… That being said, this book was recommended to me by a few friends who've read Sabrina Paige’s 'Prick' and thought it was good —in a smutty and light way, good— and entertaining and that it would please my perverted side. Okay, then, I’m all for that! About the book… I read this one super fast, let me be clear that it was indeed a no brainer, but Sabrina Paige’s writing was engaging and sucked me right into Delaney and Gaige story. I went into this expecting little to nothing and was agreeably surprised to enjoy myself. Now please, calm your tits. In the history of Fiction, we’ve seen worse than step siblings falling for each others and everything is alright. After all, Gaige is not blood related to Delaney. His mother and Delaney’s father got together a few yeas back when Gaige was 17 and Delaney 15. They both fought their mutual attraction back then, some misunderstanding putting an end to their almost " relationship"… Now, I wouldn’t say the same about… You know… Er… Anyway. Let’s talk about Gaige. Gage is now 22 and a motorcycle racer, he is hot, famous and surprised to see Delaney coming back "home" from college. He’s your typical cocky hero. He excelled at dirty talk and had this playful banter going on throughout the book. I couldn’t help liking him the most. He kept showing soft sides of him (NOT THAT soft side. No one is interested in THIS soft side.) and you could see that he was just an asshole in disguise. Or maybe I liked him most because of the obvious. What? He's named Tool for a reason. He’s still very interested in Delaney, and now that’s she’s back, he only has one thing in mind… Delaney’s back to Dallas and starts working at her father’s oil company where her job will partly consist to take care of Gage’s public relations. She, on the other hand… She got on my nerves quickly. I didn’t buy her prim and proper act. She downright annoyed me when she continuously tried to reject Gaige with same excuse all over again. She had one or two good come back but otherwise she was pretty subdued… A huge part of her doesn’t want anything to do with Gaige, but the other one, the tiny one, and maybe the strongest… Wants just this ONE thing. Now Gaige + Delaney, that was exciting! I loved their sibling bickering, especially the stupid welcome back present Gaige offered Delaney. Tool was a very fun read, granted it was focused on the smut side, but it made for a diverting and sexy time. The sex scenes were scorching hot, and Tool certainly delivered. Yes sir! I will give the author props for not making this one drama filled. What little conflict there was, was resolved quickly. So that was a definite plus. In the end, it was entertaining but by no means did it wow me like Prick did!

Gaige is a dirty, sexy, ravenous man with a sweet spot for his stepsister Delaney. Delaney, has been away from her father's house for four whole years and now that she is back she has to make ammends with the past and that means exclusively Gaige, his huge ego and a night that changed everything. Maybe their first time around wasn't so successful but this one will be entirely too different. Everything will jump start after a rainy day with a drenched Delaney standing in the doorstep of a banged up and half naked Gaige!!! THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BOOK - Dual POV. - Daniel is cute. - Their texts! Awww! I loved them. - Certainly all their interactions are filled with sparks. - The pranks gave a fresh air to this story. Rating Clarification: 1.5 stars Meh. Tool didn't do it for me. It is a meager book. It really is too similar to Prick, it's just a slight variation from it; if it were written by another author I would say they cheaply copied Prick. I did like that the characters were older here than in Prick. The end... well let's just say that cheesy can't cover it. It sure wasn't loyal to the dynamic of the characters, but expected nonetheless. So no, I did not like this book and I don't recommend it. I don't think I'll continue reading this series. After all, how much can you keep pushing the same topic and structure and make it worthwhile; one can't keep telling the same kind of story over and over and expect to maintain the interest up. She returns home to her father's house to work for him only to find Gaige there recuperating from a leg injury. Not only that, her father wants her to accompany Gaige on a trip to Japan and assigns her to him. There are fireworks right away...they both want each other, it's just Gaige is much more vocal about it...and insistent and Delaney has a hard time staying away. It doesn't help that Gaige gives her a little "gift". But there's a problem and it's with Delaney's boss...just wait for it. And Gaige's mom doesn't make things easier...she's just a witch. Fortunately, things progress with Gaige and Delaney...they are really sweet together. And then the big boom. I think things worked out a little too easily but I loved the ending...that was perfect. I wasn't too sure I was going to read this but I'm glad I did...it was much better than Prick. The Good Stuff: Dual Pov's? Yes! Steam Factor? (Scale 1 - 5) 5+...Sizzlin' soooo hot!! Angst? 3.5 Stars Hot! Hot! Hot! It was a fun, light read. Not too much angst or drama ... which is refreshing for this type of book ... but the 'forbidden romance' element was sort of weak ... and the characters were rather stereotypical. Gaige and Delaney certainly had a lot of chemistry though! The saving grace for this book was definitely the steam factor. Gaige is a very skilled dirty talker. He's brash and demanding. The plot line wasn't anything new. There were no twists or surprises with this one. And, the secondary characters were extremely one dimensional. But, the writing flowed nicely. The connection between the main characters was believable, and sort of sweet. And, I liked having an obvious nemesis. With this book, I didn't mind that everything turned out exactly the way I was expecting. It didn't blow me away ... but I wasn't disappointed with it either. Overall, an enjoyable read. I look forward to more from this author!

The book centers around Delaney Marlowe (22) and her step-brother, Gaige ‘Tool’ O’Neal (22). Delaney just flown back to Dallas to start her new job, working in her father's company, Marlowe Oil -- her first professional job out of college, unfortunately, her job will be babysitting Gaige in Tokyo. Gaige, who she is trying not to think about. Not to be around. Because she craves him so much. Overall, the only thing that was anything close to 'like' was Gaige's commands. Other than that... nothing. The plot was bad, the writing straight forward and missing depth, the characters just being there. Delaney was a horrible dormant character. I didn't like her at all; she didn't have any redeeming qualities. What to read no? I'm standing here, barefoot and looking like a drowned rat, my gaze coming to rest on the chaise lounge in the middle of the room, where three tall, thin, beautiful blondes with perfectly coiffed hair and flawless makeup and expensive lace lingerie pose around him. The boy I used to know. The boy I last saw four years ago, when we were eighteen. He's sure as hell not a boy anymore. He looks right in my eyes, and I swear he can see through me. Then he gives me that cocky, shit-sure of himself, nothing-ever-surprises-me grin, and I'm not certain whether the heat that rushes through me is anger or lust. Gaige O'Neal. Motorcycle racer, womanizer, asshole extraordinaire. Four years ago, he was the bane of my existence. And my best friend, my confidant, my first love. My stepbrother. Other characters: ↦ Anja, Gaige's mother. ↦ Beau Marlowe, Delaney's father and CEO of a Marlowe Oil and owner of Gaige's racing team, which he bought a year ago. ↦ Chelsea, Gaige's domestic account manager and Delaney's new boss. ↦ Daniel Beacon, Delaney's friend who she met two years ago at Columbia. ↦ Akira Ito, the Japanese point of contact for Gaige's tour. He's the Vice President for Public Relations of the bike manufacturing company that's hosting him. I've made a concerted effort to forget Gaige O'Neal over the past four years, which is honestly pretty difficult when your stepbrother is a media darling, a sports figure the tabloids love. It involves going to extreme lengths: no looking at photo spreads in the sports magazines, shutting off the television interviews, ignoring the tabloid articles about Gaige and whoever his girl-of-the-moment is, shrugging and changing the subject when friends want to know what Gaige is like. RATING: 1.5 Hearts. :( After reading Prick and getting a pleasant surprise out of it, I was excited to start Sabrina Paige’s Tool. Expecting humor, likable characters, and a simple, yet entertaining plot, I overlooked the disappointment that the “middle book syndrome” can bring. Expecting humor, likable characters, and a simple, yet entertaining plot, I overlooked the disappointment that the “middle book syndrome” can bring. Hence, instead of an enjoyable read, I got a sadly lacking addition to this series in Tool. The plot is straightforward, and at times appreciable for such its quality, however, the predictability of it is a precursor to zero solid development in the story, the characters and the romance, ultimately rendering a banal and lagging story. Gaige is a bad boy and Delaney is a goody, rich girl – and though these types of characters are atypical, in some reads they work brilliantly to further the romantic plot. Unfortunately, that is not the case here. We’re given no depth into either character, and no page time for their growth, making it impossible to establish any semblance of a connection with them. Both are dull and one-dimensional characters at best, rather than the sexy, dirty talking hero and the feisty heroine, I’m sure, the author intended for. Calling this a romance is a far stretch, more accordingly, a smutty read full of sex and lust. This isn’t a bad thing, in fact, some parts of this are hot, however, not when that is all we get. There is no passion, no emotions and no genuine chemistry or relationship between the two characters. While I enjoy a steamy read; the “all-lust-all-the-time” routine got old fast, no longer remaining hot or sexy or even entertaining as the story progressed. All in all, with poor character and romance advancement, Tool is not a satisfactory read, and definitely does not live up to all its rave reviews. Nevertheless, I will read the next book, more out of unbridled curiosity, if anything. Posted: June 17, 2015

"Manwhore – check. Past history with him – check.  Professional relationship – check.  Stepbrother – double fucking check." My problem with this book is that I don't have a lot even to say about it. I don't have problem with the stepbrother genre. That's right, it is now some plague in this topic. But a good idea for a book and you can always find something interesting. This book for me it was a repeat of previous - Prick. There are even the same sentence, just a little differently said. Not good. I read in the description that it is about motorcycle racer. But here, doesn't exist it, shame. And I don't like name of heroine - Delaney - don't even know how to properly pronounce it and is soooo loooong. My bad that I read one after the other, so don't do that. Maybe with break my review would have been softer. On plus I must say that it have a great title. And the idea of Toolbox was great. I admit also the author can write a very hot bedtime scenes. So once again it was hot. But I would like for that a little bit more of a good story.

I basically feel "meh" about this one. It wasn't bad. It's just wasn't... Anything. They spend the first 50% of the book in the same loop - he come on to here - she says "we can't" he walks away - rinse and repeat. Even the "drama" wasn't terribly dramatic. I don't feel like I knew anything about either of the MC - nor did I know why they loved each other (attraction - sure - love? Not so much) I basically feel "meh" about this one. It wasn't bad. I'm such a sucker for these hot and steamy step brother books. Although I enjoyed this one, and did the same as everyone else and compared it to Prick, it wasn't nearly as hot and exciting. Don't get me wrong, I still really enjoyed it and it you also loved Prick you should definitely read this. I'm such a sucker for these hot and steamy step brother books. 3.5 This was good, I enjoyed it. I won't say I am in love with it, but Gaige is hot :) and the sex was hot, so there is that. I guess when you're reading a 'forbidden love' book, you expect it to be more....idk, forbidden? like its a huge deal, and if they get caught there will be major hell to pay. I didn't really get that here....there wasn't much of an explosion of anger like you would think there is [by everyone else] at the end. The pull towards each other is stronger than they remember, but with their minds and bodies on separate pages can they stay away from temptation. I for one really enjoyed this. The sexual tension was rife with an off the chart stream rating. Gaige was the bad boy arse with a sweet streak and a dirty mouth. Delaney tried her god damn hardest to avoid his advances and didn't go down without a fight. This is turning out to be a great little series.
