This was a good read. Savvy is a lawyer and has a new job. She meets Esteban and they are instantly attracted to each other. The problem is that he wants to purchase the same land that her company is trying to buy too. Thankfully in the end everything works out and they get their happy ending.

Poor chicken. Bitter much, Esteban? She is kind of bossy. Clearly I can never be a French woman. Wow, she put a lot of pressure on herself at a young age. This reminds me of A Walk in the Clouds. She's fooling herself. She will either have a nervous breakdown or a heart attack, maybe both, if she doesn't learn to relax. Okay, her attention to detail can be handy. Yikes, that was scary! You should always follow your passion. Why, you sneaky old man! Go Savvy, go Savvy! Esteban is too cute. Her father is just Poor chicken. Bitter much, Esteban? She is kind of bossy. Book Review: A Taste Of Sauvignon By Heather Heyford   I received this book in exchange for  an honest review from NetGalley.   A Taste Of Sauvignon is the third book in Heather Heyford's debut series, the Napa Wine Heiresses. This book follows the eldest sister,  Sauvignon 'Savvy' St Pierre.   Savvy decided at the age of thirteen that she would become a lawyer.  She's working for a small law firm in her hometown in Napa Valley and is being assigned her very first case.  On her way to her firm's week Book Review: A Taste Of Sauvignon By Heather Heyford   I received this book in exchange for  an honest review from NetGalley. On her way to her firm's weekly meeting she accidentally hits the neighboring farmer's chicken with her car when it runs out into the street.  She doesn't know much about the neighbors since she and her sisters were sent away to boarding schools on the East Coast when they were young and then they attended college thereafter.  The St. Pierre's cook Jeanne is friends with the neighbors since she's been buying vegetables from their farm stand for years.  Savvy knows that her father, famous vintner Xavier St. Pierre, does not see eye to eye with them, but she doesn't know why.     Savvy meets the neighbors when Mrs. Morales and her son Esteban come out to her car to retrieve the chicken she hit.  Savvy is awestruck by Esteban the "agrilicious, king-sized man in faded jeans."  Mrs. Morales invites Savvy into the house for some tea and Esteban is perturbed that his mother is treating Savvy like the victim instead of the chicken.   Savvy finally goes off to her meeting and is assigned a case with a group called NTI who would like to acquire a piece of property in the Napa area.  The NTI group is making a million dollar offer for the land, but it isn't until Savvy sees the address of the land that she realizes she will be seeing Esteban again because it is the Morales' land the group wants to purchase.   I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am quite sad that I have to wait until Fall 2015 for the 4th installment of this series. A Taste Of Sauvignon is available to Pre-Order now  and will be available to purchase on April 14. 2015.

I think this was my favorite of the books thus far. Savvy is a smart woman - who is a bit naive and trusting - but who falls for someone extraordinary. I love most of her relationship with Esteban - although the "surprise" was a bit contrived and seemed forced. I honestly didn't notice that Papa could be involved with the deal, but in hindsight, it makes a lot of sense. Savvy is my favorite of the St. Pierre sisters though. I received the book for free through Goodreads Giveaways. I loved this book! I was hooked from the very first page. Great story, great characters. It is one of a series of books, but is definitely a stand-alone as I have not read the other books in the series - yet! Will definitely look for the other books in the series and other books by this author! Thanks for a great little book!

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I did enjoy this story and it was well-written. Romances tend to be a bit predictable and this one followed the prescribed formula for one. But it was entertaining and the writing was good. Definitely worth a read if you enjoy romances.

The third of three wonderful little books -- I'm so sorry to see this series end with the next book. This was fun to read as I was traveling through Napa. Ensuring other people's happiness can sometimes keep you from being happy. Esteban and Savvy were products of that mentality, carrying on in life so their families were happy. Esteban's dream of being a lavender farmer didn't really coincide with what he was currently doing. Oh, he was a farmer but he was a vegetable farmer. Nothing wrong with that. It was a way of life that he sustained his family for years. It just wasn't the life he wanted. Savvy didn't really know what she wanted to be. It was a way of life that he sustained his family for years. It just wasn't the life he wanted. Savvy didn't really know what she wanted to be. She was a lawyer out of necessity, needing to make sure her sisters would always have someone looking out for them. But they grew up, were in relationships where their partners looked out for them. Still, Savvy stayed the course of making partner in a local firm, thinking it was what she wanted until she met Esteban. They didn't meet in the most traditional way--her firm represented an entity wanting to buy his family's land and she was the lawyer sent to negotiate the deal--but that didn't mean anything. Their attraction was real and the passion they shared for lavender and scents mattered more. But there was still the deal to take care of, and what it might cost them both in the end. Honor and duty. Both were heavily noted throughout this story. Yet there was an underlying note of untapped passion in both Esteban and Savvy that was waiting to burst through. It did and it was heartwarming to see. I loved the characters, the setting, even the difficulties met on the road to forever, but I loved even more the realization that one's happiness doesn't need to be sacrificed to show your family how much you care for them. 3.5* (Received from NetGalley via Pump Up Your Book for an honest review)

The characters were appealing and the main characters developed as the story went on, both eventually learning more about themselves and what they really wanted out of life. Both had a great sense of duty and honor as far as doing what they thought was best for their families regardless of what they themselves might want. That is fine to a degree and understandable with their upbringings but as circumstances change, they should be able to change too. This "growing up" is the main theme of the book and I was really rooting for them to get it figured out! The book ended with their story resolved but with another waiting in the wings. The first three books chronicled the stories of three sisters...apparently unknown to them there is another sister as they and we learn at the end of the book. So the story of the Napa Wine Heiresses will continue on. I found the names of the sisters amusing and the name of the fourth as well...a definite theme going on there. Thank you Goodreads for a very nice read and I'd definitely read the rest of the series if I had the chance...and the time!

This is my first book by Heather Hayford and even though this is the #3 book in this series, it can definitely be read as a standalone. From the age of 13, Savvy decided she wanted to be a lawyer and after all the hard work, she's finally working in a law firm at Napa Valley. On her way to a meeting, she accidentally ran over a pet chicken belonging to her neighbor. Turns out he is Mrs Morales son Esteban. After the chicken episode, she arrived office slightly late and was assigned her very first case. Someone from NTI Group is looking to acquire a piece of property and it looks like she's gonna be seeing Esteban again. Her case ended up being not as smooth sailing as she imagined as there is a long standing rivalry between the senior Morales and her father. But it led her to discover about herself and her feelings for a certain agrilicious man. Heather Heyford has really created an enjoyable series with The Napa Wine Heiresses. Each book is as unique as the names of these sisters. A Taste of Sauvignon is Book 3 in this series and is about Sauvignon St. Pierre. Savvy is ambitious and always seems to be trying to prove her worth and independence. A lawyer, she has never taken a break and is always looking to climb the next rung on her corporate ladder. That all changes when she crosses paths with Esteban Morales. Sauvignon St. Pierre wants to be a partner in the law firm where she works. She is working very hard to attain that goal until she meets Esteban Morales and then her thoughts turn to love. There is one big problem though, Esteban is the son of her father's long time rival. This book is the third in a series but can be read as a stand alone novel. It is well written with an interesting cast of characters. A good book to take with you on vacation to read on the plane or beach. Thank you Goodreads for sending me this book. Although this is the third book in a series, I could read it as a stand-alone book and still enjoy it. It is a love story that blossoms between the two main characters and both Savvy and Esteban have to conquer problems involving their families before their love can blossom. An enjoyable, pleasant read

Well written story. I must commend the author on the fact that the book itself was of fine quality - very good paper and excellent typesetting. A pleasure to read a book that is produced with such care. I know that is not a review of the content, but it is a point I'd like to make. Well written story.
