MY THOUGHTS: Always be wary about anyone’s interpretation of the bible. This is someone telling you what they think it means, what their understanding of it is. All men are fallible, so someone’s opinion or interpretation is just that – their opinion. It doesn’t make it fact. That being said, I think a book like this is a big help for anyone looking to delve further into prophecies and try to have a greater understanding. I just wanted to give a warning, though, for anyone who reads anything lik MY THOUGHTS: Always be wary about anyone’s interpretation of the bible. I just wanted to give a warning, though, for anyone who reads anything like this not to take a man’s opinion as biblical truth – no matter who he is or how many credentials he can claim. The author is a minister at a mega-church, so I visited his website to see more about his ministry. The very first thing I noticed on the front page was a DONATION LINK. In fact, not one, not two, but THREE different places on the front page alone asking for donations. There is also a shopping cart. Other words that stand out on the front page are “click here to purchase”. Here is the link http://www.jhm.org/ 3 stars for ambivalence. Use your own judgment about it and always remember to take anyone’s interpretations with a grain of salt. As a Christ OLD TESTAMENT Genesis: 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. *Then God created the Earth as we know it seven days. Scientists and geologists theorize the Earth is millions of years old because of radiometric dating and the geologic time scale. This conflicts with the popular Christian belief that the Earth is 6,000 years old. As a Christian I was confused after taking a geology class because two separate forms of dating proved the earth is very, very old. One day I decided to read the book of Genesis because I was deeply troubled, and God revealed to me that there was a gap of millions of years between the first two verses of Genesis and the 7 days of creation. 50:20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. Exodus: 4:11 So the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord? 12 Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.” 13 But he said, “O my Lord, please send by the hand of whomever else You may send.” 14 So the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses, and He said: “Is not Aaron the Levite your brother? I know that he can speak well. And look, he is also coming out to meet you. When he sees you, he will be glad in his heart. 15 Now you shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth. And I will be with your mouth and with his mouth, and I will teach you what you shall do. 16 So he shall be your spokesman to the people. And he himself shall be as a mouth for you, and you shall be to him as God. * Moses wasn't good with words so God gave him Aaron to help him communicate 9:16 But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth. 17 As yet you exalt yourself against My people in that you will not let them go. *Explains why God didn't strike Pharoah down himself for persecuting the Israilis 9:23 And Moses stretched out his rod toward heaven; and the Lord sent thunder and hail, and fire darted to the ground. And the Lord rained hail on the land of Egypt. 12:48 And when a stranger dwells with you and wants to keep the Passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as a native of the land. For no uncircumcised person shall eat it. 13:21 And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. *Chapters 20, 21, 22, 23 contain the commandments the Lord gave Moses on Mt. Sinai. NEW TESTAMENT Acts: 4:32 Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. 33 And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. 34 Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, 35 and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need. *Sharing everything 5:33 When they heard this, they were furious and plotted to kill them. 34 Then one in the council stood up, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law held in respect by all the people, and commanded them to put the apostles outside for a little while. 35 And he said to them: “Men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do regarding these men. 36 For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody. A number of men, about four hundred, joined him. He was slain, and all who obeyed him were scattered and came to nothing. 37 After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census, and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were dispersed. 38 And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; 39 but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.” *It must have been something 10:15 The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.” (thru) 10:34 Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism 35but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right. *God also offers favor to the Gentiles. 19:11God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them. 13 Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” 14Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 15˻One day˼ the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?” 16Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding. 17When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, they were all seized with fear, and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor. *Even non-believing Jews practiced exorcism in the name of Christ because they knew the many miracles Paul performed in His name. The power in His name was confirmed when the evil spirit said "I know Jesus & I know Paul." Romans: 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. *Everyone is born with the knowledge of God embedded inside 1:26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. *Homosexuality is a sin 2:1 Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. 2 But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things. 3 And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God? 4 Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? 5 But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6 who “will render to each one according to his deeds”:[a] 7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; 8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, 9 tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; 10 but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 11 For there is no partiality with God. *Westborough Baptist Church 2:28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; 29 but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God. *Spiritual circumcision 3:21-26 *Salvation through those who are righteous & have faith in Jesus 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? 3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been freed from sin. *Past self died on the cross too: death no longer affects Him or believers. 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us[b] with groanings which cannot be uttered. 9:8 That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed. 9:18 Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens. 19 You will say to me then, “Why does He still find fault? For who has resisted His will?” 20 But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, “Why have you made me like this?” 21 Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor? 22 What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, 23 and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory, 24 even us whom He called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? 10:9 if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 11:20 Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. 12:21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

I’ve never considered myself to be interested in prophecy. I’ve always been the kind of girl who felt like I had enough to think about without worrying about the future, and because the church that I belong to teaches that there will be a pre-tribulation rapture, I’ve just never seen fit to study prophecy. Then, last year, I studied Daniel and Revelation through my Community Bible Study and I realized that studying prophecy gave me a much bigger picture of God and who he is and what his plan for I’ve never considered myself to be interested in prophecy. I’ve always been the kind of girl who felt like I had enough to think about without worrying about the future, and because the church that I belong to teaches that there will be a pre-tribulation rapture, I’ve just never seen fit to study prophecy. Then, last year, I studied Daniel and Revelation through my Community Bible Study and I realized that studying prophecy gave me a much bigger picture of God and who he is and what his plan for the world is. I realized how self-centered my life was and how much I needed this picture picture of how big God is. So, it was with anticipation that I received the NKJV Prophecy Study Bible, 2015 Edition: Understanding God’s Message in the Last Days for review from Thomas Nelson Publishers. This is an updating of a Bible that was originally published in 1997, and I can’t compare the two because I don’t have the original Bible, but I can say with ease that this Bible is jam-packed with information. There are eight major groups of prophecy study helps in this Bible. They are categorized as follows: The Top 20 Questions About Bible Prophecy–These answer the questions most frequently asked about prophecy and end time events, starting with answering the question, “How Can I Know Bible Prophecy is Accurate?” Diamonds for Daily Living–These are a series of 40 devotions drawn from the Psalms. God’s Great Promises–This is a series of articles that explore the covenant promises found in the Bible, especially significant are the promises that God has made in Israel. This series starts with an article entitled, “The Idea of ‘Covenant’ in the Bible.” God’s Great Salvation–The theme of salvation runs through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. You can trace this theme through the Bible starting with “Forbidden Fruit and Lost Innocence” Evidences–This is a series offering an apologetic for the Christian faith, and this series begins with the article, “The Uncaused Cause of Everything Else.” Spokesman for God–The prophets of the Bible spoke God’s word. We can use this series of articles to learn about the main prophets and their messages. This traces all of the major and several minor prophets all the way from Moses to John the Baptist. Bible Insights–This is a collection of articles that provides additional information about the Bible, its people, its times and its prophetic message. These articles include such topics as “Dreams and Visions,” “Paul’s Major Teachings,” and “The Millennium.” Bible Prophecy Charts–There are 16 charts of on the key aspects of the Bible prophecy, including the prophecies of Daniel, the Tribulation, times of the Gentiles, the Rapture and the Millennium. There’s a ton of material here and it’s organized in such a way as to make it easily accessible and fun to explore. I feel like I’m always finding a treasure here and there as I explore the Bible. I enjoy reading the NKJV translation, and it’s been a pleasure to spend time with this Bible. I actually intend on using it as my primary Bible for now as I continue to explore the articles, charts and maps contained within. Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I remember as a child, going to old tent revivals and feeling a thrill there that I never felt in church on Sundays. It’s almost like goosebumps all over and I know now it was simply the presence of God there, so strong you could feel it. That’s the feeling I got when I started reading this prophecy Bible. It was as if I was being told that I was about to take a journey, through this reading, that would be a blessing for me, and it was, it still is, daily. It will definitely be my go-to study Bible. I just wish that I could have shared this Bible with my dad before he passed away. He too, would have loved it. Some of the things I have found that I love about this particular Bible is…it makes prophecy easier to understand. Pastor Hagee has basically done all the reference work. I have always had difficulty figuring out what time period the books of the Bible are. Pastor Hagee has taken care of that in the beginning of each book because he not only included the date, but also key words, a review of the book and an outline. The print is a good size and I love that it is red-letter edition. It has the typical things you would find in any Bible like a decent Concordance and maps of Biblical times, but this one goes far beyond the usual things. There are hundreds of pages of information to aid in understanding prophecy. One of the things that stood out in my mind was where Pastor Hagee states understanding prophecy is not so we know who the antichrist is or even when the rapture will take place…but to prepare us to be ready and more importantly God shows us He will prevail! I highly recommend this Bible, especially if you have the desire to understand prophecy. I advise you to read the, Features of the Bible Text. The Bible I received is hard-cover with a dust cover. It measures approximately 9.5 in. x 6.5 in x 1.75 in., making it an easy book to carry and use. My one wish would be that it would have been in JKV rather than NKJV however, Pastor John Hagee, I thank God for making this Bible possible through you. Disclosure: I was given a copy of this Bible by the publisher, Thomas Nelson, through BookLook Bloggers, blogger program for review. I was not required to write a favorable review nor was I compensated for my review. The opinions in this review are my own.

I would recommend this amazing Study Bible to anyone who is pondering how different prophecy was fulfilled and they are curious about the end times. I love reading and watching John Hagee on TV. He knows tons of scriptures and he has a way of teaching the messages where people can understand. I loved how this Bible shared content about the rapture, the Great Tribulation, and the Antichrist and the False Prophet and the prophecy still to come. It was very eye opening to read about Sodom in Ezekiel 16:49 and Jude 7 and to see a list of how in the end days the world will once again look like Sodom. Some of this list included, “pride, having enough to eat, sexual immorality, failure to help the poor and needy”, and much more. I loved all of the extra features John Hagee enclosed in this Study Bible. I liked the helpful master index to Bible Prophecy because this index was written on a total of 12 pages and it displayed where the original prophecy was listed in scripture and where it was fulfilled. In reading through this list, I could tell that John Hagee put a lot of effort in writing this expansive list. He also included a list of “Monies, Weight, and Measures” in order to explain the different measurements in today’s terms. This is one of my favorite Bibles and I plan to use this one in my personal study of reading God’s Word. I highly recommend this Bible! I have read several books written by John Hagee so when I realized that he was the general editor of the NKJV Prophecy Study Bible I knew I wanted to read it. This is a great study Bible filled with several useful study aides that can further a users understanding of Bible prophecy. First of all this is a sturdy hardback Bible and I like that the actual cover is printed just like the dust jacket instead of being plain. There is a presentation page which is something I always look for. Now on to some of the features, there are eight groups which include top twenty questions about Bible prophecy, these are the most frequently asked questions surrounding Bible prophecy. I really think this was one of my favorite features, and I actually used the index in order to read each of the articles. Diamonds for daily living, which are forty devotionals drawn from the book of Psalms. Gods great promises are articles that talk about the covenant promises that God made with Israel. These are just a few of the great features of this Bible, ones that happened to be my favorites. There are also several articles such as events of end times and a list of prophecies that have been fulfilled. I also like that the words of God in the New Testament are in red. Overall this little gem is filled with many study aides and would make a great Bible for group study, but is it also a useful tool for individuals who want to further explore prophecy and wants plenty of information in one place. I continue to use this Bible daily, and would have to say that it is one of my favorites. A complimentary copy of this Bible was provided for review.

If you are looking for a bible that explains prophecy I would highly recommend the NKJV Prophecy Study Bible, with commentary by John Hagee. I’m so excited about this one!!!!!! I wouldn’t say this is the easiest study bible I’ve ever used but neither is it difficult to figure out. It’s not just a normal study bible to study scripture but it is one that focuses on prophecy. The bible starts out with explanations and studies of the end times. There are charts and time lines to help you understand. John Hagee has done a wonderful job explaining prophecy. It is a very difficult subject to understand and many have different beliefs on what the end times mean exactly. I tend to agree with John Hagee and how he interprets scripture. I can’t even begin to tell you everything in this bible but I will try. Each book includes information about the book, who the author is, the time line of the book. Some of them also include “evidences” and stories to help explain the chapter. There are beautiful colored maps in the back and a history of Israel. It is also a red letter words of Christ bible. I have to say I absolutely love this bible and cannot wait to delve into it deeper. I think this is probably one of the if not the best prophecy studies I have come across. If you are wanting to learn more about end times and prophecy I think this is the one for you. I have read some reviews that say it is missing books but I have not found anything missing maybe this was in earlier editions or maybe some mistake in the printing. As far as I can tell this is a complete bible. I received this bible at no charge from www.booklookbloggers.com in exchange for an honest review.

I really liked this Bible. Quite a bit of the Bible is made of prophecies. I didn't read the whole Bible, but I did flip to some of my favorite verses and looked around them at the tools and explanations. I got started reading and I found the explanations and toos extremely helpful and learned some things I had never even considered. The way it is arranged and explained, makes each prophecy easier to understand and while you can use individual verses and 'spin' them, I didn't see any of that in I really liked this Bible. With the New King James translation being my favorite I was excited to receive this prophecy study bible. I've enjoyed reading other's interpretation of prophecy and always learn something from their commentaries. There's lots of jewels in this bible that made me dig deeper into scripture. " Events on the End Times” was particulary interesting as well as the great charts and concordance at the back of the book. I find this to be a valuable tool in my studies. It would take me quite a long time to finish this book, it is filled. There is so much knowledge it is impossible to sit through it in even a few sittings. However this author found a way to help make the topics easier to understand and this is going to be great for people who believe. I received a complimentary copy.
