Miss 3 is showing interest in graphic novel type books from her point of view they have lots of pictures and fun speech bubbles to point to. They're a bit annoying some times for me to read (since as an adult we can scan and assimilate; pointing to each speaker gets tiresome) but this one worked out well. She really likes mysteries and detectives, she likes science too; this incorporates both :) I enjoyed the little science side bars about geology and fossils; I imagine those might interest olde Miss 3 is showing interest in graphic novel type books from her point of view they have lots of pictures and fun speech bubbles to point to. Good book for elementary aged kids. Teaches science without feeling educational.
