A bit disappointing compared to The Rolling Stone Album Guides of 1979 and 1992 which were more critical in a like it or lump it fashion. At least there is a little more information on the musicians they do include. The omissions are too many. As an Australia I noted missing artists such as Cold Chisel, Sherbet, and Paul Kelly but glad to see Crowded House, Midnight Oil and Crowded House.

This book is great if your looking for a book about rock n roll and the history of rock. The books setup is all little write ups about how and where the band was formed. The book also provides backround knowledge on all bands. Such bands include Ozzy Osbounrne, Areosmith, U2, Lynryd Skynyrd and many more. Anyone with a love of music and rock will love this book

I like to read this while I am pooping. Be careful because it can make you late for work.
