Glad this was a free read on Amazon Unlimited. The plot was thin, the villain obvious, and holy smokes Batman, the typos, misplaced quotation marks and other errors were so bad it wasn't even funny. Normally I can ignore a few errors, but this was practically every other paragraph. And to make matters worse, we get a surprise glimpse into the killer's head as he goes after the heroine in one of the chapters. Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books... 1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future. 2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author. 3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up. 4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author. 5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.

I want to be nice BUT... This is a nice little read, if you have nothing else, it is just very predictable. What bothered me the most though were the misspellings, double words, and grammatical errors. Maybe the next one will be better. One can only hope...

A Fun Light Read This is a short cozy, but not much of a mystery. The killer is easily identified. I've read others in this series because I like the main character. The author provides recipes of local cuisine, for readers who like that additional information. I read this in book in about 45 minutes so that fits into a busy schedule. I also like to encourage new authors. I gave it a four rating because it needs minor typographical editing and because it was a really lightweight mystery. A really good read I gave this book a 4 star rating because the first few chapters were a little boring, but then it picked up and I couldn't wait to get to the end to see if I had picked the right suspect. This book was enjoyable and I plan to read more from this author. Short and pretty much to the point. The suspense was minimal as was the mystery. If the writer had fleshed out some of the story and perhaps made us care a bit more for the protagonist and the victim it would have been better.
