The Of Witches and Warlocks series is one of my favorite series and I don't know how I haven't reviewed them yet!! I've read this entire 5 book series about 4 times and I still can't get enough. Vance and Portia are everything I want in a relationship. I adore these characters and love every twist and turn Lacey takes us. I would recommend these books 100%. Well, the first & second books were somewhat promising. Despite the insta-love, long diatribes about mundane clothes and food, & PG-13 cheesy romance, the main plot was interesting enough to keep me mildly curious to continue forward. However, the third book took the above to a nauseating level that's given me what may be a permanent eye condition & series case of nausea. The third book basically read: "I love you!" ... "No, I love you more!" ..."You're so beautiful and I'm soooo unworthy." ... " Well, the first & second books were somewhat promising. "No, I love you more!" ..."You're so beautiful and I'm soooo unworthy." ... "No, you're so beautiful and I don't deserve you!" "I'd die for you!" ... "No, I'd die for you." The number of times "I love you" was said in this book was utterly bromidic; it was literally said once per paragraph! Paragraph upon paragraph EVERY three pages of nothing but professed love, fears of abandonment, and trying to persuade the other of how special they really are does not make a book! Couple the above with A LOT of long, boring, PG13 makeout sessions that led to implied sex; a little blood drinking; some f'd up family relations with the same old kidnap and escape; and a lot of running around researching more witch crap... and you've got the most trite, cheesy garbage I've had the displeasure of reading in quite some time.

Fave series!! Wow!! I read this series like years ago but I haven't written my review yet.. ugghh... anyway, this series is the first books I've read written by Ms. Lacey and I would say I got hooked!!! I fell in love with Vance and Portia easily.. this series made me emotional on some parts.. addicting series!!! <3 <3 Fave series!! Wow!!
