When you do-it-yourself, YOU are in control. You know exactly what’s going into your food. No preservatives, artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners, etc. Just whole, clean, healthy foods instead of processed foods that are full of unnecessary additives. Standard recipes pretty standard recipes for herbal blends and things like nut butters and salad dressing. Was hoping for more unusual recipes. May be very useful ideas for someone new to making things from scratch

Handy in the kitchen This is another wonderful book for new cooks, brides, or a refresher for getting back into the kitchen. It also helps you to add and experiment your own concoctions.

This book uses some ingredients that are considered no-no's by many clean eating sources (such as sugar) but it does provide many useful recipes and adaptations that you can use to make many pantry or staple items. The ketchup is really good and EASY. Good Recipes for Conscientious Consumers I enjoyed these recipes for substitutes of common food items that, when purchased from the store, are loaded with unnecessary chemicals and superfluous ingredients.

Disappointed There's not a recipe here you can't find in the internet. Salsa? Guacamole? Oatmeal?? It was free, and I'm glad I didn't pay for it. Disappointed There's not a recipe here you can't find in the internet. Salsa? Guacamole? Oatmeal?? It was free, and I'm glad I didn't pay for it.
