Just keeps getting better! Excited for Book 4! This book starts two years after book 2 ended, so Jono is now 15. There's more adventure and drama for Jono and his friends back at school while the pox destroys whatever it wants and they have no way stop it. This book starts a little faster then the other books with more danger, suspense, teenage angst and love triangles. Small warning it does leave off on a bit of a cliffhanger. These books are great for older elementary and up due to the writing style and are clean and free from bad language or any bad graphic content. My 14 year old son has been really enjoying these and was excited to find out there is a fourth book. The narrator does a great job and is a lot of fun to listen to. —I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

*I won copies of the first three books via a giveaway on the Mugglenet website, but that does not in any way affect my review and rating for the book.* I dreaded reading the third book in the "Dark & Day" series, but only because Book 4 isn't out yet and I didn't want to end on a cliff-hanger. "The Angel's Masquerade" is action-packed from start to finish. The book picks up where "The Withering Mark left" off, and both the Dark and Day are still trying to figure out the cause of the pox that is happening erratically all over the world. Meanwhile, squires from the Day are welcomed at Windom, but their stay at the Dark is off to a very rocky start. Jono and the Firewall team, along with Day squires like Suriana, even travel to Terralunis. But things are not as they appear and people from the Dark and the Day must once again unite to face the Tombs, who will not rest until the whole world is ready to kneel at the feet of the King of the Abyss. We even get more couples, some previously teased in Book 2 and others just starting to realize their feelings for each other in Book 3. I can't wait until Book 4! :)

The long awaited third chapter in the Dark & Day series. After the Tombs unleashed the all-destroying pox in the second book we were left to wonder what would happen to our friends from Windom and the Day. The first exchange students from the Day arrive at Windom Academy which causes a bit of a stir in Eies. Dark enders are mistrustful of the Day enders and some even think they are spies for the Sage of Ages. But the tension between the two halves of the world is not the only danger lurking. The Tombs are still threatening the fragile peace between the Dark and he Day, creating tension between the cadets and the new exchange students. I've patiently waited for this third book and was thrilled when Grey sent it to me. It was all I expected it to be, another epic tale of the lives of Jono Wyer and his friend. But that was not all, this book adds some new and very interesting characters, especially a new Dark & Day couple. A must read for fans of magic, or steampunk, or a combination of both. You won't be disappointed.
