This is a cute story about a divorced woman who is given a special gift for her birthday....Jack. Jack thought he was just gonna give this older lady a lap dance for her birthday until she flashes him her breasts. Is it possible to fall in love at first flash? When her friends hire him to be with Sasha for a week, he jumps at the idea. Will she be willing to give it a go with him? Sasha has many issues. Trust, age and appearances. If she can get over those, she will find happiness again. I liked t This is a cute story about a divorced woman who is given a special gift for her birthday....Jack. Sasha Santorelli, a wealthy and very attractive divorcee is celebrating her forty-sixth birthday. To celebrate, her four best friends take her out for a night on the town. To celebrate, her four best friends take her out for a night on the town. Collectively known as ‘The Five Widows’, these women have been friends for years, and after consuming a great many tequila shots at a local strip club, Sasha offers up a brazen challenge to the handsome young male dancer that has been performing for them. Her friends, noticing how taken Sasha is with the young man, make him an offer that he can’t refuse. They pay him handsomely to spend an entire week at Sasha’s beck and call. Why in the hell don’t I have friends like these? Sorry, I digress. The young man, Jack Hammer by name, is as attracted to Sasha as she is to him and he eagerly accepts this indecent proposal. However, there is more to Jack than meets the eye. He is in fact a serious university student, studying hard to earn his CPA, and dancing at Pennyfeathers is simply his means of paying his way through school. Despite the difference in their ages and the questionable circumstances that have brought them together, these two quickly develop real feelings for each other. Once they get started, their sex life is very active and satisfying for them both, but of course they have to deal with the normal ups and downs as two people get to know each other and start building a relationship together. It doesn’t help that there are so many people around them that disapprove of their relationship or that Sasha has trust issues courtesy of her ex-husband. Will they be able to overcome all the obstacles and form a solid relationship or will all of the pressure from family and friends cause them to give-up? You’ll have to read the story yourself to find out. I liked the premise of this story and overall, the writing, at least as far as vocabulary and mechanics were concerned, wasn’t that bad. My problem with this story was that the characterization lacked emotional depth. Told almost entirely through conversation, the characters were really one-dimensional which made it difficult for me to drum up any feeling about them one way or the other. There were also instances of point of view shift in the middle of a sentence and what read like lack of continuity from one scene break to the start of a new scene. All authors have their own writing style and all readers have a type of story that they prefer to read. I myself prefer to be emotionally wrapped up in the characters and so, this story wasn’t really my cup of tea. However, if you’re the type of reader that enjoys a fast-paced, light read with lots of steamy love scenes, than this is absolutely the story for you.

**I was given this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.** For me, this book was ok. I wish the seven days Jack and Sasha had spent together at the beginning had been explored more. We got night 1 (she was drunk and throwing up - not sexy) and part of the first day and the author then just skipped to day 6 and said nothing happened. And yet it's suddenly insta-love. I'm not opposed to insta-love in general, but just telling me they're in love means nothing. I'm not opposed to insta-love in general, but just telling me they're in love means nothing. I'd like to see it grow even if it only happens over a day or two. But we got no glimpses into their interactions in those first 6 days. One good thing I can say about the book is that the sex scenes were erotic and hot. As most reader friends know, I'm a huge fan of anal sex in books, so it always makes me excited to see an author explore this between their characters. Especially when done well. The complications between family and friends regarding the age difference between the two was handled well. My biggest complaint, which made it really hard for me to keep reading on occasion, was the continued use of characters first and last names. Why? Scarlet Styles said..., Indigo West put her feet on the couch, Ruby Redford was standing on a street corner, Jack Hammer licked my breasts, etc. It was constant and done consistently throughout the book. It drove me nutty. Overall, the storyline was ok as was the execution. Not my favorite, but I'd consider giving this author another chance.

I was provided a free copy of this story in return for a honest review. This was my first time reading Ms. Ming and I enjoyed the experience. Sasha's friends gave her Jack for her birthday. They didn't mean for it to last longer but Sasha was pleasantly surprised that although she met Jack when he gave her a lap dance for her 46th birthday, there was a brain within that sexy body. Not only did Jack have a brain, he didn't want anything from her other than her body. I loved that Jack for all that I was provided a free copy of this story in return for a honest review. He could care less that Sasha was older. She tripped his trigger and he wanted to build something lasting with her. He just had to get her to look past their age difference and the hurtful words from others. I enjoyed this may-december romance. I really liked Jack and found myself thinking that at times he was a bit too easy going with Sasha. I loved that he wasn't after her money and was willing to fight for her, even if he had to fight her. I also loved that he wasn't willing to allow Sasha to run him or their relationship. He was an equal partner in spite of the difference in the economics. I also loved that when Sasha finally took a stand she stuck with it. This was a enjoyable story.

I connected with Sasha in that I’m at the same ago and cannot really say what I would do if I were in her shoes. In Silke Ming’s first story in The Five Widows series, we go into Sasha’s world, learn that she is divorced and very well off due to that. The Widows take her out to celebrate her birthday and there she meets Jack, the Widows pay him to stay with her for a whole week. The Widows also are unsure of him, is he out to get her money, until they get to really know him. She found what she was missing in her sex life with Jack Hammer (believe me he lived up to his name!), the author wrote some scorching scenes. I really enjoyed their story and cannot wait to read about the next Widows book. *Copy provided by author in return for an honest review.

This is the first book I've read about an older woman (46) and a much younger man. The main character, Sasha, was classy but sexy and had it all, except for someone to love. Then she met Jack Hammer (yep, that name got me), and found that taking a chance on a younger man could give her a second wind. Jack Hammer fell in lust with Sasha's, um, rack, but later discovered she was everything he could want in a woman. The sex was hot and the relationship dynamics were fun.
